Chidwick Ousts Schulman

Stephen Chidwick opened to 10,000 from under the gun and Nick Schulman moved all in from one seat over. Action folded back around to Chidwick who made the call with the bigger stack to put Schulman at risk.

Chidwick had Schulman dominated and looked set to scoop the pot and bounty. The flop left Schulman drawing extremely thin with his elimination confirmed on the turn. The river completed the board as Schulman tapped the table before making his exit.

Keating Snaps Off Kornuth

Three-handed on a flop of , Alex Keating bet 13,000 from early position and Chance Kornuth called. Fred Salari got out of the way as Kornuth and Keating went heads-up to the turn.

Keating this time bet 23,000 and was met with an all-in raise by Kornuth. Keating snap-called for his last 64,000, showing for trip queens.

Kornuth had for a straight draw but failed to hit the river, handing over the pot to Keating.

Aldemir Gets a Double

Picking up the action on the turn, Koray Aldemir from early position was involved in a hand with the big blind player. With the board reading Aldemir moved all in and was called by his opponent, who had the bigger stack.

Aldemir was ahead with his top two pair but would need to dodge clubs heading to the river. He did just that after the rolled off the deck on the river to secure the full double up.

Cada Calls Off Against Watson

Mike Watson three-bet to 30,000 from the small blind and Joe Cada called on the button. The flop came and Watson continued for 20,000.

Cada called and both players checked the turn. The river was the and Watson shoved all in, having Cada easily covered.

The 2009 Main Event champ considered the decision for a moment before sliding his chips forward, only to be shown by Watson. Cada exposed before making his exit.

Mateos Sends an Opponent Into the Tank With River Shove

Adrian Mateos was in early position and heads-up on the flop with an opponent in the big blind. On a board of , Mateos bet 19,000 and the big blind called.

Both players checked the turn before the fell on the river. The big blind checked again, and this time Mateos announced he was all in for 76,500.

His opponent went into the tank for several minutes while Mateos continued to stare straight ahead. The big blind eventually folded and the four-time bracelet winner scooped in the pot.

Ivey Loses a Small One

Merson Survives Before Break

Just as players were preparing to head off on another break, Greg Merson shoved for his last 61,000 from under the gun, an opponent in middle position re-shoved, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

Merson's opponent picked up a flush draw on the flop while Merson made a pair on the turn. The river was safe for the 2012 Main Event champ, and Merson collected the pot before joining the rest of the field on break.
