Nível 35 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb was all in for 7,400,000 from the cutoff against the button, who had him covered.

Shaun Deeb: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Button: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Deeb was in trouble but received some help from the flop of {4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. The board finished out {10-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and those at the table gasped as Deeb improved to trips to double up and leave his opponent with just 600,000. The player busted out a few hands later.

BREAKING: Phil Hellmuth at 2022 WSOP $3,000 NLH Final Table, Chasing 17th Bracelet

Nível 34 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth has set out to win 24 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets in his lifetime. On Saturday night, he has an opportunity to get one step closer to that lofty but realistic goal.

The "Poker Brat" is one of eight players remaining in Event #65: $3,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em at the time of publishing.

Hellmuth currently has 16 bracelets, a record by a wide margin. Johnny Chan, Doyle Brunson, and Phil Ivey are tied for second place with 10. Should he come out victorious on Saturday night, he'll make it difficult for anyone to catch up over the next decade, and possibly beyond.

The $3,000 NLH Freezeout attracted 1,359 entries and will play down to a winner tonight. That individual will not only take home a shiny gold bracelet, but also $598,173. For the Poker Hall of Famer, it would take him above the $28.5 million mark, according to Hendon Mob.

Karabasz Turns to Poker Gods for Guidance

Nível 34 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Just before the break, faced with an all-in bet for his tournament life, Douglas Karabasz was deep in the tank preflop.

"You guys might have to call the clock on me," he told the table. Soon after, the player to his left called the clock. When the floor gave him a countdown of thirty seconds, Karabasz took out his WSOP card from his wallet and held it in front of him.

"Ok heads I call, tails I fold," he announced as he indicated that the bracelet image was the heads side.

He then flipped the card, and sure enough it landed on heads.

"Alright, I'm all in, " he stated with conviction as he pushed his chips into the middle. "I've got a big hand, I'm either way ahead or behind," he continued as the cards were tabled with Karabasz at risk.

Douglas Karabasz: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} which gave Karabasz a straight, winning the hand for a double up while his opponent was left with less than a big blind.
