The first month of the World Series Of Poker is nearly in the books from its new home at Bally’s and Pairs Las Vegas and today kicks off the always popular Event #59: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold’em.
Players must be at least 60 years of age to play with one reentry available. Cards will be in the air at 10 a.m. PDT and players will begin with 20,000 in chips with the blinds starting at 100/100/100.
Jean-Luc Adam from France is the reigning champion. He conquered a field of 1,893 players en route to a $255,263 payday and his first WSOP bracelet.
Levels are all 60 minutes long with a 20-minute break after every two and a 75-minute dinner break after Level 8 (~7:00 p.m.). Late registration is open through the end of the dinner break, approximately 8:15 p.m. local time. Play will end after Level 10 when remaining players will bag and tag their chips for Day 2.

With about 1,900 in the pot on the turn, Ed Aulick from Kentucky bet 800 and found one caller.
The river brought the and Aulick bet 1,200 more.
His opponent meant to call but accidentally put out 2,400. The floor ruled that it was a raise and the hand was still live.
Aulick just called and showed his for a full house, nines full of jacks, while his opponents trip jacks went into the muck.
Aulick finished 11th in this event back in 2017 for $15,804.

Action was heads up with nearly 10,000 in the middle and on the board when Natalia Novak bet 2,000 from early position and her opponent called.
Novak turned over to show a straight and her opponent shook his head knowingly.
"Nice hand," he said as he tossed his holdings in the muck.

The action was found with Kent Buckingham raising all in for 6,100 from the big blind. A player in middle position called and the small blind reraised all in for 19,200. After a minute in the tank, the middle position player folded.

The flop brought giving Buckingham a pair of sixes to take the lead and the turn sealed the deal as the meaningless completed the board.

He holds two World Series Of Poker gold bracelets and frequently uses a shark card protector.

Action was heads up with a big pot of 15,000 in the middle and on the board when Francisco Calderon bet 4,200 and his opponent called from the button.
The button turned over for trip queens, but Calderon tabled to take the pot with a better kicker.
Calderon, a native of Las Cruces, New Mexico, cashed in this event last year after a run to 132nd place.
