McCarthy Coolers Opponent

Nível 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

A player called in first position and in the hijack, another player raised to 500 which saw two players call including Joe McCarthy in. Action went back to the initial limper who bet pot to 2,100 which the player in the hijack and McCarthy in the cutoff called.

The flop came out {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and the under the-gun player bet 6,900 which saw the hijack move all in and McCarthy moved all in over the top of it which folded out the other player.

Hijack: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Joe McCarthy: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Both players flopped flushes, but it was the hijack's flush who's was better. The turn {7-Clubs}, gave McCarthy a straight flush to the jack and his opponent could not win the pot as the {2-Hearts} river rolled off and McCarthy eliminated an opponent with an unbeatable hand.

In the continued WSOP tradition of popular split pot game tournaments, today begins Event #58: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Eight Or Better at Bally's and Paris in Las Vegas. Last year’s field saw a total of 725 entrants come out for this tournament and with the tournament numbers up in all mixed game events this year, it stands to reason that this event will see some growth as well.

Kevin Gerhart won this event last year for $186,789 and his second bracelet of that series. He topped a star-studded final table that included Dustin Dirksen, Michael Trivett, and Dylan Wilkerson. All of them are likely to enter this year’s version as well. Others expected to enter and look for another bracelet include defending player of the yearJosh Arieh, Eli Elezra, and Ben Diebold.
