Salonen Busts Kings to Survive

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jarmo Salonen moved all in from early position for 18,900. He got a quick call from middle position, who had him covered. The rest of the table got out of the way.

Jarmo Salonen: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Salonen was behind, but the {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} gave him a straight draw. The {9-Hearts} turn changed nothing before the {7-Spades} river hit, giving Salonen a nine high straight, enough to bust his opponent's kings and double his chip stack.

Zhou Eliminates Player

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Middle position moved all-in for 15,200 and was called by Ci Zhou in the small blind.

Middle Position: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Ci Zhou: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} gave additional gut-shot outs to middle position but also took away any regal cards with a diamond. There was no help in the later streets as it came {4-Spades}{a-Clubs} which sent middle position to the rail.

Meanwhile on a nearby table Jeff "Boski" Sluzinski busted out.

Daniel Negreanu on Justin Bonomo: "Indoctrinated & Brainwashed Beyond Repair"

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Justin Bonomo & Daniel Negreanu
Justin Bonomo & Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu went off on Justin Bonomo in his Monday WSOP vlog, accusing his high-stakes foe of being a "cheater" and said that he's "totally indoctrinated" by his social justice beliefs.

On Friday, after busting his second bullet in Event #50: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold'em on a runner-runner bad beat, "DNegs" slammed his phone in frustration on the way out.

Most poker players on social media seemed to understand the frustration considering he's down nearly $1 million for the summer, but Bonomo was highly critical and went so far as to accuse the Poker Hall of Famer of "violence" and that incidents such as this could make others feel unsafe at the table.

Negreanu began his Day 27 World Series of Poker vlog by defending himself against Bonomo's tweets, and he didn't hold back.

"Someone sent me a tweet where Whacko Bonomo said that if he tied his shoes in front of someone that he wouldn't do it, because he's totally indoctrinated and a lost cause," Negreanu said. "The guy is a completely lost cause."

Shahar Hits Running Straight to Survive

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After a raise to 2,500 from late position and a call from the cutoff, the button reraised to 9,000. Ran Shahar, from the big blind, four bet jammed for 14,400. Late position and the cutoff got out of the way before the button snap called with Shahar covered.

Ran Shahar: {4-Spades}{9-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Shahar was dominated, but the {2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop gave him backdoor straight and flush draws. The {6-Hearts} turn moved him closer to that straight and then the {3-Spades} came on the river to complete his six high straight. His opponent was left with just ace high, and Shahar doubled up and survived.

Piraux Doubles Up

Nível 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action was picked up as the cutoff made the call of Romain Piraux's all in shove with the effective stack of 18,500.

Romain Piraux: {k-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Cutoff: {j-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Piraux was already ahead and improved when the {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop paired his ace. The {2-Clubs} on the turn and {7-Spades} on the river affected neither player's hand. Piraux's aces were still good, and he collected the pot to double his stack.

Gomez Doubles Up

Nível 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

After a raise from middle position to 4,000, action folded around to Mariano Gomez in the small blind. He made the call, as did the big blind.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and the blinds checked over to the preflop aggressor. He continued for 6,000. Gomez made the call while the big blind made the laydown.

On the {2-Diamonds} turn, Gomez check raised his opponent's bet of 10,000 to 25,000 and got snap called.

On the {4-Hearts} river, Gomez opted to lead out by moving all in with 24,500 behind. His opponent, with Gomez covered, made the call fairly quickly. Gomez turned over {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, good for two pair. His opponent pushed his hand into the muck, giving Gomez the pot and the double up.
