Raina Gets Value from Ace-High

Nível 5 : 400/800, 800 ante

Kiran Raina of Close2Broke Poker told PokerNews about a hand he was involved in.

The cutoff opened to 1,800 and the poker vlogger called on the button, while the small blind also called.

The cutoff continued with a bet of 2,400 on the {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and only Raina called. The turn brought the {k-Hearts} and the cutoff bet 4,400. Raina again called.

The river brought the {3-Diamonds} and the cutoff bet 5,600. Raina jammed for 25,000 and the opponent took a moment before calling.

Raina showed {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for kings and queens, which was enough to beat the ace-high of his opponent with {a-}{10-}.

Ellis Cracks Kings

Nível 5 : 400/800, 800 ante

The pot was around 30,000, when a player in late position went all in for 50,000 more.

Chance Ellis was the last man standing in the blinds, and called for nearly half of his stack. His opponent was in great shape to double up when the cards were turned over.

Late Position Player: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Chance Ellis: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The dealer very quickly spread the first three cards, {2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Ellis didn't appear nervous at all, even though he was well behind and needed some help with second pair.

The entire table gasped when the miracle {j-Clubs} fell on the turn, giving Ellis a spiked set.

The player at at risk wanted to share in the same luck, but the {6-Diamonds} river wasn't it, and he gracefully thanked the table before exiting the bustling tournament ballroom.

Kim Eliminates Two Players In Two Hands

Nível 4 : 300/600, 600 ante

Victor Kim from under-the-gun bet 1,200. The early position player raised to 4,000 which was cold-called by the button. Kim decided to move all-in and was called by early position, the button folded. The early position was the effective stack for 33,000.

Early Position: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Victor Kim: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

There was no sweat for early position except for a chop with a gutshot wheel draw on a board of {2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Kim took a sizeable pot and eliminated early position.

The very next hand Kim in the big blind had his chips in the middle once again, this time with the button who was effective stack for 27,000.

Button: {9-Spades}{4-Spades}
Victor Kim: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The button admitted he wanted to double or rebuy before the start of the next break. The board of {j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades} improved Kim to a straight and the button headed to the rebuy line.
