Deonarine Itwaru moved all in preflop from middle position for around 925,000. He got a call from Jan Pettersson in the big blind, who had him covered.

flop was a good one for Petterson, as he paired his ace. The 
gave Pettersson a flush draw as well, before the 
arrived on the river, improving Pettersson to top two pair. Itwaru was left with just a pair. Pettersson scooped the pot, while Itwaru headed for the rail. He finished in 27th place and will take home a cash of $22,133 for his efforts.

After a raise to 400,000 from the button from Ben Sarnoff, Mark Williams moved all in from the big blind. Sarnoff made the call with Williams covered.

Williams was behind, but picked up hope on the 
flop which gave him a set. That hope was perhaps tempered a bit on the turn, which gave Sarnoff a straight draw, but Williams was still in good position to double up and survive. The 
hit the table on the river to give Sarnoff the Broadway straight, eliminating Williams in heart breaking fashion. Williams finished in 26th place, for which he'll take home $27,271.

This weekend, Golden Nugget Las Vegas is playing host to the $1,100 buy-in, $1,000,000 Guaranteed PokerNews Cup that will run from June 24-28.
The tournament featured three starting flights, but now only one remains! The third and final flight will begin at 11 a.m. PT on Sunday, June 26. The surviving players from each flight will return at Noon on Monday, June 27 to play down to the final table, which will play out at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28.
PokerNews will be on-site throughout the duration to offer live updates, videos, social media content, and more.
