Schumacher Rivers a Straight to Bust Aces and Double Up

Nível 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Johan Schumacher moved all in from the hijack with the effective stack of 60,000. His opponent in the cutoff made the call, and the pair flipped their hands.

Johan Schumacher: {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Cutoff: {a-}{a-}

No clubs on the {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, left Schumacher drawing thin. He managed to pick up some more outs, to a straight, with the {9-Diamonds} turn. He began pleading for queen, and his prayers were answered when the {q-Hearts} came on the river, giving him the straight and the double up.

Klodowski Wins Huge Pot With Huge Bluff

Nível 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

During hand for hand play to determine the bubble, Dan Klodowski min-raised preflop to 8,000 in the hijack position and received a call from the big blind. The flop came down {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and it was checked to Klodowski who fired out a bet of 14,000, which the player in the hijack position called quickly.

A {2-Hearts} showed up on the turn and the big blind once again checked. Klodowski bet 48,000 and received another snap call.

The river brought a {2-Clubs} and the big blind checked to Klodowski who pushed all in for about 200,000, covering the big blind. The big blind tanked for a few minutes before folding {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} face up. Klodowski then flipped over his cards to show {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, winning the 162,000 pot with a six-high bluff.

Ruben Busts Aces to Burst the Bubble

Nível 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Brad Ruben
Brad Ruben

With 360 players remaining and 359 getting paid, the tournament had entered the hand-by-hand portion.

Action was picked up after the {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop. The under-the-gun player moved all in, with an effective stack of 77,000. Brad Ruben, fresh off winning his fourth WSOP bracelet in Event #4: $1,500 Dealer's Choice 6-Handed, made the call.

At this point, the table had to freeze as tournament directors ensured all tables were in sync and players were busted in the proper order to ensure proper payout. After a few minutes of waiting, the tournament directors gave the go ahead, and the players flipped their hands.

Brad Ruben: {3-}{3-}

Ruben had outflopped his opponent with the set, but still needed to dodge out cards in order to burst the bubble. The board ran out {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, providing no help to his opponent.

With that knockout, the field was whittled down to 359, officially bursting the bubble. The remaining players will all take home a minimum cash of $2,405.
