More for Gorodinsky

Nível 22

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Ben Diebold raised to 50,000 and was called by Mike Gorodinsky in the small blind and Christopher Claassen in the big blind. Gorodinsky took one, Claassen three and Diebold patted. Gorodinsky then bet 300,000 and both opponents folded.

Shortly after, Brian Rast opened to 65,000 and Diebold defended. Diebold took one and Rast took two new cards. It checked to Rast, who bet 130,000 and shut down Diebold.

Kihara Doubles Through Diebold

Naoya Kihara

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

After Ben Diebold raised to 60,000 on the button, Naoya Kihara moved all in for 750,000 from the small blind.

Action folded back to Diebold, who called.

Kihara patted and Diebold tossed a jack to the dealer to receive one card.

Kihara showed {10-}{9-}{8-}{5-}{4-}, and Diebold showed he was drawing live with {9-}{6-}{5-}{3-}.

Unfortunately for Diebold, his new card was another {j-}, giving Kihara a huge double-up, while putting Diebold on a short stack.

Diebold Wins Pot Off Rast

Nível 22

Big O

Ben Diebold raised to 85,000 on the button and Brian Rast defended the big blind as they headed to the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Spades} flop. Rast opted to check and then called a bet worth 75,000 by Diebold. After the {10-Clubs} turn, Rast bet the pot for 355,000 and Diebold called after some consideration.

The {9-Spades} river completed the board and Rast reluctantly checked, as Diebold instantly checked back. "Aces up," Rast announced without revealing his cards.

"Oh my god, thank god," a very relieved Diebold said and rolled over his {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a set of aces to win the pot without ever seeing Rast's cards.

Fireworks for Rast and Kihara?

Nível 22

Big O

Naoya Kihara raised in the cutoff to 60,000 and was met by a pot-sized three-bet from Brian Rast on the button for 230,000.

After some thought, Kihara opted to call and the potential for a big pot was brewing.

The flop came {6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades} and both players slowed down and checked.

The turn {10-Hearts} paired the board, but also brought no further action as Kihara and Rast checked again.

On the river {3-Clubs}, Kihara checked a final time, and Rast chose to bet 375,000.

Kihara called, and Rast showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for the nut low.

Kihara then showed {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of aces, which were enough to earn the high half of the pot, as the players chopped what could have been a much bigger and more notable pot.

Missed Value for Gorodinsky; Rast Jams Into Claassen and Kihara

Nível 22

Big O

Mike Gorodinsky raised to 60,000 and Naoya Kihara called out of the big blind. The {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop was checked by both and Kihara bet the {k-Clubs} turn for 155,000, which Gorodinsky called. After the {8-Diamonds} river, Kihara reluctantly checked and Gorodinsky checked it back.

Kihara announced a flush and tabled the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} but Gorodinsky had that beat with the {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for sixes full og eights.

"I think I just cost myself 200k", Gorodinsky sighed in table chat.

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Christopher Claassen opened to 65,000 in the cutoff and Kihara tanked for a bit to then make a three-bet to 260,000 in the small blind. Brian Rast now tanked for more than two minutes and then moved all-in, forcing two instant folds.

"You three-bet me with nothing?" Claassen joked towards Kihara as the pot was pushed to Rast.

Claassen Doubles Through Kihara

Pot-Limit Triple Draw

"Yes, blood, let's go!" Declared Mike Gorodinsky as the newest game of the day was called.

He wouldn't have to wait long to witness some poker blood as Naoya Kihara was the game's victim.

Christopher Claassen raised to 85,000 in the cutoff and was three-bet to a pot-sized 280,000 by Kihara in the small blind.

After a brief tank, Claassen opted to just call, leaving himself a little over 500,000 behind.

Kihara drew one, while Claassen still needed to draw two.

Seeing that he was ahead on the draw, Kihara announced "all-in" blind to put the pressure on Claassen.

Claassen opted to call for his tournament life.

From there, each player took one card on the second draw, then on the final draw after Kihara drew one once again, Claassen went into the tank.

"Jack?" asked Kihara.

"Worse than a jack," said Claassen, who then decided to pat and show {q-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

Kihara showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}, needing any non-pairing card under a queen. Unfortunately for him, he was dealt an {a-}, shipping most of his stack across the table to Claassen, who is now among the chip leaders.

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Naoya Kihara raised to 85,000 on the button and Mike Gorodinsky inquired about the stack size of his opponent before making the call in the big blind. On the first draw, Gorodinsky took two cards and Kihara one. The action was checked to Kihara, who bet 205,000. Gorodinsky raised and Kihara called all-in for 310,000 total.

Both took one new card on the second draw and then patted on the final draw. Gorodinsky revealed his {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} first and it was one notch better than the {9-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} of Kihara, who bowed out in 5th place for $73,453.

Claassen Pays Off Gorodinsky

Limit Hold'em

After some wild rounds of big bet games like Big O and Pot-Limit Triple Draw, a break seems to have been in order as Limit Hold 'em was called.

Christopher Claassen raised in the cutoff and was called by Mike Gorodinsky in the big blind.

Betting was checked through on the flop and turn of a {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{5-Spades} board before Gorodinsky bet the river.

Claassen called to see his opponent show {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for the winner, losing two big bets in the process.
