Laplante Triples

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Ryan Laplante
Ryan Laplante

Ryan Laplante lost most of his stack in a coinflip early and was down to his last 8,000. He went all-in under the gun and was called by a player in the cutoff. The button reshoved for 30,000 and action folded back around to the cutoff who called.

Ryan Laplante: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Button: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Cutoff: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Laplante was behind preflop but caught up on the {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop. Only the button was drawing live against Laplante and they failed to catch up on the turn and river {4-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Laplante scooped the main and the button scooped the side.

Leading the way of the remaining players is Oscar Alache who bagged up 518,800 as well as the chip lead on Day 1c. Alache, who is fifth on Chile’s all-time money list, is looking to take home the first bracelet for South America this series, as well as his very first bracelet. The field is still large and he faces quite a lot of competition, even with the chip lead.

The second and third in chips for today are the chip leaders from Day 1a and Day 1b respectively. Mukul Pajula bagged the Day 1a chip lead with 518,300 and Trent Wilt bagged the Day 1b chip lead with 516,200. Both of them will also be hunting for their first bracelet.

Some other notables still in the field include five-time bracelet winner Brian Rast (459,500), recent bracelet winner Scott Ball (302,600), Athanasios Polychronopolous (266,300), Scott Bohlman (193,700), 2019 Main Event Champion Hossein Ensan (185,000) and six-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu (93,000).

The players come back at 2 p.m. in level 11, with blinds at 1,000/2,000 and a 2,000 big blind ante. Players are scheduled to play 10 levels of 60-minutes each, with 15-minute breaks in between every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after level 16. The remaining players will bag up after level 20 and come back the following day.
