Day 1 of Event #63: $500 Salute To Warriors is officially in the books. This charity event helps a great cause as $40 of each buy-in is donated to the United Services Organization (USO), which has provided live entertainment and other services for the active military for 77 years, and other military-related charities.

This historical event attracted 1,738 entrants who generated a total prize pool of $712,580; the champion takes home $102,465. A total of 261 players were guaranteed a minimum cash of $821, and the bubble burst just before the close of play.

Andrew Moon is the chip leader with 169 remaining players after he bagged 1,274,000 chips at the end of the night followed by Taylor Pollard (866,000), Nicholas Verderomo (654,000), Senthuran Vijayaratnam (629,000), and Terry Wheeler (617,000) of the stacks confirmed but right behind them is Thomas Taylor (500,000) with over $1 million in live earnings.

With some of the games, top names entered into the field, not all of them were able to make it to Day 2 Barry Greenstein, Kathy Liebert, JJ Liu, Michael Wang, and Ori Hasson.

All of the remaining 169 players return for Day 2 action on Wednesday, November 3rd at 12 p.m. local time with action picking up on Level 18, where blinds will be 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 big blind ante. Play is scheduled to play down to the final five players, with blind levels lasting 40-minutes. Players will receive a 15-minute break after every three levels with a 60-minute dinner break after Level 26,
