The player under the gun raised to 1,300. The action folded to Kelly Minkin in middle position who put in a three-bet to 3,800. It folded back around to the original raiser and he made the call.

The flop came {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}. It was checked to Minkin and she continued for 3,000. Her opponent quickly called.

The turn card was the {9-Spades} bringing three cards to a flush. It was checked to Minkin one more time and she sized up to 7,000. Her opponent instantly mucked and she scooped the pot to chip up.

An under the gun player raised to 1,000 and received a call from four players, including Barry Greenstein who was sat in early position.

The flop came down {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Spades} and the action checked to Barry Greenstein who bet 2,000. The action folded to the small blind who called.

The turn came the {2-Hearts} and Greenstein bet 4,000 accidentally out of turn. It didn't end up mattering because the small blind folded to his bet anyway and Greenstein flashed a {k-} as he raked in the pot.

The 2019 WSOP saw Joe Foresman come out on top in a field of 6,410 entrants to beat Will Givens heads up to take home his first WSOP bracelet and a prize of $397,903.

It is unsure as to how many players will participate in this edition of the event, but a big field is expected, given the accessibility to all players and the fact a WSOP bracelet is up for grabs.

Day 1 is scheduled to play out 17 40-minute levels, with a 20-minute break taking place every three levels.
