Livingston Has a Strong Board

Nível 2

Alex Livingston: {x-}{x-}/{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Tom Gity: {x-}{x-}/{q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} - folded
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{x-} - folded

Alex Livingston took his seat to begin Level 2 and wasted no time winning a pot. With 4-3-2 showing, Livingston bet all three streets and induced his opponents, including Tom Gity to his immediate right, to fold on fifth street.

"That's a strong board," a tablemate said as Livingston stacked his new chips.

Heimiller Wins Amid Controversy

Nível 3

Dan Heimiller: {x-}{x-}/{6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}/{x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Spades}/{x-}

Both Dan Heimiller and his opponent had the same Q-9-6 board showing by fifth street. Heimiller was adamant that action should be determined by suit, while his opponent insisted it was by who made the hand first.

The tournament floor had to be called and ruled in Heimiller's opponent's favor. He bet on sixth and seventh street, and Heimiller called.

"Nine-low," he said, but Heimiller had him beat with {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for 9-7-6-2-A

"Check the rule book," Heimiller was still insisting after the hand.
