Addamo Calls With Ace-High

Nível 1 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Addamo opened to 4,500 from under-the-gun and Jake Daniels defended in the big blind.

On the {3-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Spades} flop, Daniels check-called a bet of 3,000 from Addamo.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and both players checked to the {6-Diamonds} river.

Daniels led for 13,000 and Addamo shrugged and called.

Daniels turned over {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for ace-high and a busted flush draw, but Addamo had him out-kicked with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Funaro Wins Another One

Nível 1 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Aleksandr Shevlyakov opened to 5,000 in early position and was called by Yiming Li and Frank Funaro in the blinds. The flop came {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and the blinds checked to Shevlyakov who continued for 5,500. Li check-raised to 14,500 which got a call from Funaro but Shevlyakov folded.

The turn brought the {9-Clubs} and Li led out with a bet of 15,000. Funaro still called and the {5-Hearts} completed the board. Li checked this time and Funaro quickly checked back. Li showed {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a small two pair while Funaro held {a-Spades}{4-Spades} for a slightly bigger two pair.

Newey Lays it Down

Nível 1 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Paul Newey raised to 5,000 in the hijack and was called by Sam Soverel in the small blind and Eric Hicks in the big.

Action checked to Newey on the {6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, who bet 9,000. Soverel then check-raised to 30,000 and only Newey called.

The {9-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Soverel bet a hefty 140,000, sending Newey into the tank.

Newey eventually let his hand go and Soverel scooped the pot.

Jake Daniels
Jake Daniels

Scott Ball opened to 6,000 and Dan Smith called from the button. Jake Daniels then shoved from the small blind for his last 35,500 and Ball called. Smith got out of the way and Daniels was at risk.

Jake Daniels: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Scott Ball: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The flop came {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, pairing the jack for Ball. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the river was the {2-Clubs}, no help to Daniels, as he exited the tournament area.

Mateos Ousted

Nível 2 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Adrian Mateos was on the short stack with just a little over 20,000 and he pushed all in from early position. Joe McKeehen called on his left and the rest of the table folded.

Adrian Mateos: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Joe McKeehen: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The flop of {q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} gave McKeehen a pair of queens and Mateos was down to just one out. The {6-Hearts} on the turn and the {3-Hearts} on the river meant the end for Mateos' first bullet.

McKeehen Gets Value

Nível 2 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Joe McKeehen from an earlier event
Joe McKeehen from an earlier event

Joe McKeehen and Seth Davies were in for 50,000 apiece preflop. McKeehen was in the hijack and Davies was on the button.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and McKeehen check-called a 20,000 bet from Davies.

Both players checked on the {7-Clubs} turn; however, McKeehen led out for 56,000 when the {10-Clubs} completed the board.

Davies called and McKeehen tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Davies couldn't beat it and mucked — awarding the pot to McKeehen.
