Stephen Song Eliminated In 11th Place ($66,480)

Nível 34 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Stephen Song
Stephen Song

Action folded to Stephen Song in the small blind and he ripped it in for his last 5,600,000.

Michael Gathy called in the big blind and Song was at risk.

Stephen Song: {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Michael Gathy: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, no help for Song as he was eliminated.

Song picks up more than $60,000 for his great run.

Philip Verel Eliminated In 10th Place ($66,480)

Philip Verel
Philip Verel

Things escalated quickly on the {k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Spades} turn. Michael Gathy bet before Verel instantly moved all-in and Gathy put the chips in just as fast.

Philip Verel: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Michael Gathy: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}

Verel held a set of aces, but Gathy had turned the queen-high flush. Verel was looking for the board to pair or another spade, but it was not to be as the river fell the {4-Hearts}, and the Day 3 chip leader was eliminated.

It was a fantastic run for Verel, who was a relative unknown at the WSOP. He collects a nice payday for his efforts.

Meanwhile, four-time bracelet winner Michael Gathy moves into the chip lead.

Sertac Turker Eliminated in 9th Place ($83,545)

Nível 34 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Sertac Turker
Sertac Turker

Daniel Lazrus raised to 800,000 from early position and Sertac Turker jammed for around 5.5 million from the small blind. Lazrus called and hands were revealed.

Sertac Turker: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Daniel Lazrus: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Turker and his rail saw the bad news and were looking for some help. The flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}. The dealer put down the {10-Spades} turn while Turker's rail and Adam Sherman were yelling for an eight or jack on the river. Instead, the {4-Hearts} came to eliminate Turker.

Sherman said his rooting for Turker to hit was nothing personal and he would've been rooting for Lazrus to stay alive if he were the short stack, but Lazrus didn't seem to mind as he took the chips to add to his stack and the final table is now without another player.

Adam Sherman Eliminated In 8th Place ($105,690)

Nível 35 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Adam Sherman
Adam Sherman

Daniel Lazrus opened to 1,000,000 and Adam Sherman, wearing a bandana, gave Lazrus a needle about his traditional style mask.

"You probably get those little pieces of cotton in your mouth," said Sherman. "Step up your mask game dude."

Sherman defended in the big blind and they saw a flop of {7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Sherman check-called a bet of 1,200,000 and the {q-Hearts} peeled on the turn.

Sherman check-called again, this time to the tune of 4,400,000, and the river fell the {7-Clubs}.

Sherman checked for a third time and Lazrus moved all-in covering Sherman.

"This is a silly call if I'm wrong." He said. "I guess you have a set like queens or something."

After a few seconds, Sherman splashed in a call, only to see he was right. Lazrus indeed had {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for queens full, and Sherman took off a little tilted.

He takes home more than $100,000 in prize money for his final table run.

Lazrus, meanwhile, holds a third of the chips in play with seven players remaining.

Todd Saffron Eliminated in 7th Place ($124,570)

Nível 35 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Todd Saffron
Todd Saffron

Todd Saffron jammed in his stack of 5 million from early position and Michael Gathy called in the hijack.

Todd Saffron: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Michael Gathy: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Saffron was looking for help and found some with a flush on the {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop. However, the hand wasn't over and his flopped flush turned into a drawing dead hand as the {2-Clubs} spiked the turn to give Gathy a better flush. The meaningless {k-Hearts} completed the board and Saffron was eliminated.

Kevin Palmer Eliminated in 6th Place ($172,455)

Nível 36 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Kevin Palmer
Kevin Palmer

Kevin Palmer jammed in his remaining 3.3 million from the cutoff and Michael Gathy raised in the small blind to 6 million. Daniel Lazrus thought about his decision in the big blind but ultimately folded.

Kevin Palmer: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Michael Gathy: {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Gathy had a dominating hand and Palmer needed some help. The dealer spread the {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop. The {2-Diamonds} came on the turn to gave Gathy a wheel but Palmer was still live to win the hand with a flush draw. Palmer's rail was pleading for a diamond, but the board completed with the {q-Hearts}.

Palmer will receive $172,455 for his deep run and the remaining five players will return tomorrow as they play down to a winner.
