Wyscaver Trips Christenson for Double Up

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Jacob Wyscaver opened for 2,200 from middle and action folded to Spencer Christenson who three-bet Wyscaver all in from the big blind, Wyscaver called.

Spencer Christenson: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Jacob Wyscaver: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Wyscaver was behind but took a commanding lead after flopping trip tens on the {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop.

The {j-Spades} turn gave Christenson a broadway draw but the river fell the {3-Spades} and Wyscaver started his day with a much needed double up.

Early Profit for Zeid

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Among those to late register and take a seat in the Amazon Gold section were Brian Zeid, Sandeep Pulusani, Jordan Polk and Ismael Bojang. Zeid already earned a profit after he was involved in a three-way three-bet pot for 7,500 each to the {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop. Dapreesch Scates checked, Zeid bet 12,500 and that forced a fold from Ryan Jaconetti and Scates.

Edwards Gets Lucky to Double

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Charles Edwards checked a {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Spades} flop from the big blind over to Kevin Cronin in middle position, who put out a bet of 4,300. Edwards check-raised to 10,000, and Cronin three-bet shoved to put Edwards in for his last 24,400, and Edwards called it off.

Charles Edwards: {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Kevin Cronin: {a-}{k-}

"I was afraid of that," Edwards said.

The {9-Diamonds} turn sent a jolt through the table, and Edwards' turned two pair held for the double after the {6-Clubs} river failed to provide an ace for Cronin.

"I needed that...short stack desperation!" Edwards said.

Aces Cracked in First Level of the Day

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Gustavo Lopes started the day with 33,000 but the Brazilian was all in for around half of that holding {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} and was in a commanding position against the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} of Laurent Ravier.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} but the {10-Spades} turn gave Ravier a set. The river was the {7-Clubs} and Lopes was eliminated.

Spector Joins the Spectators

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Jay Spector got the last of his chips all in preflop in a blind-versus-blind situation against Yizhe Zhang and the dealer was in the process of running out the cards.

Spector had {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Zhang held {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}, giving Spector a pair of kings and putting him in the driver's seat to double up. Then the turn fell {j-Spades} giving Zhang eight outs to a straight. Unfortunately for Spector, the next card would be his last.

"Come on, why you gotta do that?" said Jay Spector as the dealer burned and turned the river {9-Diamonds} to give Zhang a straight, ending Spector's main event bid early in Day 2.

Hu Takes One Down on the Flop

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

David Hu had one of the bigger stacks midway through Day 1c but he wasn't able to finish the day on the same high note. He still finished the first day with an above-average stack and took down an early pot on Day 2c.

Samir Bhatia raised to 2,000 from the button and Hu called from the big blind to see the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop on the board. Hu checked to Bhatia who continued with another 2,000 but Hu then raised to 7,000.

Bhatia gave up and folded his hand while Hu scooped up an early one.

Gurpreet Taneja raised to 2,000 from middle position and the player on the button called along with William Anderson in the big blind.

The turn brought the {2-Clubs} and Anderson checked. Taneja bet 5,000 and Anderson check-raised to 15,000. Taneja gave it some thought then let it go.

Mateos Gets One Early

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Adrian Mateos opened for 2,000 in the cutoff and Jayson Waller called on the button. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Mateos continued for 1,600. Waller put in a min-raise and Mateos peeled, seeing the {k-Hearts}. That prompted him to bet 8,000. Waller called and the river was a {j-Spades}. Zakheim Among Early Casualties

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Over on the main feature table, Scott Zakheim got his short stack in with ace-queen and he was called by Roland Wakim with {k-}{10-}. A king on the flop and a dry run-out spelled the end for Zakheim and he became one of the first casualties of the day.

Mauron Gets a Double on the First Hand

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Jacques Mauron got his last 11,300 in the pot from the hijack, and a player in early position had him at risk.

Jacques Mauron: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Mauron's opponent picked up a few additional outs on the {5-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop, but the {6-Hearts} turn and {9-Hearts} river guaranteed that Mauron's Day 2 experience would last more than one hand.
