Nine-Dugi for Gazlay

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Brayden Gazlay
Brayden Gazlay

Badugi

Jason Sagle raised from under the gun and action folded around to the big blind, where Brayden Gazlay called. Gazlay drew one card and Sagle drew two. After the draw, Gazlay led out with a bet and Sagle called. Both players drew one card on the second draw and action checked through to the final draw, where both players again drew one card. Gazlay led out on the end and Sagle thought for about 15 seconds before making the call.

Gazlay tabled {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for a nine-dugi and Sagle sent his cards to the muck.

Eight Good for Andrulis

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Jordan Siegel opened from under the gun with a raise and Kristijonas Andrulis called from the cutoff. The two went heads up to the first draw, which went two and one. Siegel checked to Andrulis, who put in a bet. Siegel made the call and the players again drew two and one. Siegel once again check-called Andrulis' bet after the second draw, and the final draw saw Siegel take one and Andrulis stand pat.

Both players checked at the end and Andrulis turned over {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{a-}. Siegel mucked his hand and Andrulis took down the pot.

Ringe Busted in Odd Hand

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Gerald Ringe was all in after getting his last 14,500 in before the draw out of the small blind. Andrew Brown had him at risk and each player drew one until the final draw, when Ringe patted. Brown pitched a card in and then Ringe said he thought he was checking and he actually needed a card.

"Well, then I'm pat," a confused Brown said, snatching his card back. "Can you get a ruling?"

Others at the table seemed to think Ringe should have to pat, and the supervisor initially said he would rule that way but since a player was all in he had to call for a higher ruling. Another TD arrived and, after being apprised of the situation, allowed Ringe to draw.

Brown rolled over {10-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}. Ringe peeled and then tossed in the {q-} with {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}, meaning if he was forced to pat and Brown to draw he would have doubled with a better third card.

Myerson Hits the Rail

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Badugi

Alan Myerson and Sumir Mathur were heads up in a blind-versus-blind battle after the first draw and both players checked. Each player took one card on the second draw and Myerson checked to Mathur, who put in a bet. Myerson called all-in for less and drew one on the final card.

Mathur stood pat and tabled {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}, while Myerson looked at his final card and tabled a three-card {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, ending his tournament life.

Glaser Can't Draw Pure

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Badugi

Big blind Benny Glaser drew two on the second pull and Sumir Mathur took one on the button. Glaser called off his last 500 and then drew two again. Mathur needed a draw still and he showed {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} but didn't improve with a {k-Diamonds}.

Glaser had {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and pulled a {q-Hearts}, meaning he needed a spade.

"It's paint," he announced. "But...it's red."

Andrey Zaichenko also went bust at another table.

Loren Klein
Loren Klein

A-5 Triple Draw

Loren Klein raised under the gun and was called by both blinds. Sumir Mathur took two in the small, Jesse Hampton four in the big and Klein two. Klein then got the last of his chips in. Everyone drew one.

"Streak ended," Klein declared. "Sixteenth draw and I improved."

Everyone drew one again.

"I can't win," Klein announced, showing a paired seven. "Fun playing with you guys."

Mathur's {9-}{8-}{6-}{3-}{2-} was a winner.
