Benson and Shack-Harris Cooked

Nível 3 : 250/500, 0 ante

Badugi

Gary Benson managed to survive in a multi-way pot when he needed to beat a {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{5-Spades} with {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, pulling a {7-Clubs} on his last card. However, he only had 500 left still.

He got those chips in a few hands later when they were still playing badugi, and he was heads up drawing one every street, with his opponent doing the same until the last when he patted and showed a {k-Hearts}. Benson shook his head after peeking at his card and mucked when the cutoff showed {4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} with the king.

At another table, Brandon Shack-Harris also busted.

Baker Getting Short

Nível 3 : 250/500, 0 ante

In a heads-up pot between Steve Moreschi on the hijack and David "Bakes" Baker on the cutoff, first draws were two and one. Moreschi fired a bet and Baker made the call. Moreschi stood pat on the second draw and Baker drew one card. Moreschi put another bet into the pot, which Baker called. Moreschi again stood pat on the third draw and Baker took one.

Both players checked the river and Moreschi tabled {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} for a king-dugi, which was good to scoop up the pot as Baker sent his cards into the muck.

Badugi

In a three-way pot after the first draw, Tom Schneider made a bet from the small blind into two opponents in the cutoff and on the button. Both players called and draws went pat, one, one. Schneider again bet out and the cutoff called. The player on the button made a raise, which both Schneider and the cutoff called. The final draw again went pat, one, one, and all three players checked the final street of action.

Schneider announced a nine badugi and tabled {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, which was the best hand as he raked in the pot.

Rough Dugi Enough for Zack

Nível 3 : 250/500, 0 ante

Badugi

Three players were on the final draw after Dan Zack bet from the big blind and got two callers. The small blind took a card, Zack patted and the third player also drew. Everyone checked the end and Zack showed {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a rough badugi but a badugi nonetheless.

It was good, as the small blind mucked and the third player turned over three to a five before tossing in his last card.

Two for Hale

Nível 3 : 250/500, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

With about 5,000 in the pot, Brant Hale patted the final draw and his opponent tanked a long time before breaking. Hale bet the end and his opponent evidently didn't find enough improvement and quickly folded.

The next hand, Hale got the final street in a battle of the blinds after patting against the same opponent. He again bet the end and this time received a reluctant call. Hale revealed a {9-}{5-}{3-}{2-}{a-} and took it down.

Badugi

In a three-bet pot pre-draw, James Woods found himself in a three-handed pot from the cutoff against the players on the button and in the small blind. The small blind drew one card, Woods drew one, and the player on button stood pat. Action was checked to the player on the button, who put in a bet that the player in the small blind and Woods both called. The small blind again drew one card, Woods stood pat, and the player on the button deliberated before drawing one card.

Action then checked to Woods, who made a bet. The player on the button folded and the small blind made the call. On the last draw, the small blind again drew one and Woods stood pat. The small blind checked and Woods made a bet. The small blind folded and Woods tabled {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts} for a wheel badugi, stating that he had improved to the nuts after his first draw.
