Joni Jouhkimainen

Joni Jouhkimainen was getting to his feet shortly after the three table redraw.

He had held {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} against chip leader James Chen's {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

The board was {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs} with Chen making two sets to sent Jouhkimainen to the rail.

"I didn't see your limp pre-flop," Chen explained to Jouhkimainen. "I mean, it worked out for you. I mean...it didn't..."

Bujtas and Astedt Eliminated

Nível 22 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Laszlo Bujtas
Laszlo Bujtas

At almost the same time the fireworks started on table 418 and 419 respectively, and the online legends Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas and Niklas "Lena900" Astedt were eliminated to reduce the field to the final 25 hopefuls.

In a four-way limped pot to the {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, Bujtas bet the pot for 160,000 in the big blind and Lautaro Guerra check-shoved out of the small blind to see Bujtas call.

Laszlo Bujtas: {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Lautaro Guerra: {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

The {a-Spades} turn and {6-Spades} river completed the board and Bujtas was eliminated.

Only a few meters over, Alex Epstein had three-bet to 325,000 on the button and Astedt four-bet to 1,125,000 in the big blind. The initial raiser had already forfeited his 140,000 and Epstein asked for his three-bet to be pulled in, mulled over his decision and eventually pushed all in. Astedt called and the cards were on their backs.

Niklas Astedt: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Alex Epstein: {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

On a board of {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Epstein flopped two pair and turned a full house to send Astedt to the rail. Both Bujtas and Astedt take home $43,270.

Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Dan Smith limped the small blind and Alex Epstein raised to 75,000, which Smith called. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Smith got his short stack in.

Dan Smith: {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Alex Epstein: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Smith's bottom two pair were in the lead, and nothing changed with the {a-Clubs} turn yet. However, Epstein spiked the superior two pair on the {2-Clubs} river to eliminate Smith in 32nd place for $43,270.

Eddie Ochana

Eddie Ochana raised from early position and was called by Erik Seidel in the big blind. On a flop of {q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Seidel check-raised from 85,000 to 180,000 and Ochana called with 255,000 behind. Ochana reluctantly called all in and the cards were turned over.

Tsang Leads the Way on Day 3 of the $25,000 PLO High Roller

Just 39 players remain in the $25,000 Pot-limit Omaha High Roller at the 2019 WSOP with the tournament playing down to a final table of six players across today's action.

Last year, the 2018 PLO High Roller saw seven levels take play in order to whittle 35 players down to a final table, so expect a similarly intriguing day of four-card drama today.

Leading the field at the start of play is 2018 WSOP Europe bracelet winner Anson Tsang who was one of two players to bag over four million chips. He is followed in the counts by James Chen, who is still looking for his first WSOP bracelet. Also still in the running is the only player still standing from last year's final table Ryan Tosoc, who finished in sixth place last time out. Tosoc will be looking to go deep and secure a place at the final table for the second year running.

Interestingly, those three men share a table today, with Paul Volpe also in their company. Whoever emerges as the leader from that table is sure to have a great chance of winning the tournament outright.

As is to be expected, there are plenty of big names eyeing up the prestigious title and over $1.6m in prize money for first place. They include Robert Mizrachi, Erik Seidel and all-time money list leader Justin Bonomo.

Play resumes at 2 p.m. here at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and PokerNews will be on hand to provide you with all the live updates throughout the day as we find out which six players will make up the final table for this prestigious event.
