At 2 p.m. local time, the 2019 World Series of Poker will see the lovers of 'the great game' return to their seats in the Amazon Tan section of the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino to as Day 2 of Event #45: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller will recommence with 128 players out of 221 entries remaining.

A new record is in sight for the most-expensive Omaha tournament of the summer schedule as last year's field size of 230 entries is all but reached. New entries will receive 150,000 in chips with returning blinds of 1,500/3,000 to provide 50 big blinds in the first level, and the late registration and single re-entry period remain open for the first two levels and the following break until approximately 4.15 p.m. local time.

Firas Sadou sits in third place with 625,000 and a host of further big names are among the top 10 stacks such as Dario Sammartino (595,500), Ludovic Geilich (590,000), defending champion Shaun Deeb (518,500) and PLO specialist Ka Kwan Lau (492,500).

Another former champion of this event has also advanced to Day 2 in Anthony Zinno, who sits in the middle of the pack with a stack of 239,000. The 2017 champion and 2018 runner-up James Calderaro, however, won't be returning to the action as he was eliminated twice on Day 1. This also applies for such notables as Richard Gryko, Chance Kornuth, Phil Galfond and Michael Mizrachi.

The second of four tournament days is scheduled to play ten 60-minute levels with a 15-minute break every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after the sixth level of the day at approximately 8.30 p.m. local time. It is expected that the field will be narrowed down close to the money bubble and the PokerNews live reporting team will be your one-stop shop for an exciting day of four-card poker.

Cong Pham from under the gun and Sean Winter on the button got their stacks in after the {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts} turn and it was Pham at risk for around 125,000 with the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for top two pair. Winter turned over {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for a set of fives and the {3-Clubs} river failed to improve Pham.

The full board of {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{k-Clubs}{4-Hearts} was out between Keith Lehr and Anton Morgenstern. Lehr checked to his opponent who bet 82,000. Lehr tanked and eventually mucked.

"You had a straight?" asked Lehr. "I had a big hand."

"I really thought you would have called," replied Morgenstern. "I usually get called in those situations."

"It's hard to fold top set," replied Lehr.

The cards were already on the back and the dealer counted the stacks of JC Tran, Kahle Burns and Kyle Bowker. Tran had the biggest stack and also ended up with the best hand holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for the nut flush on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} board.

Bowker had an inferior flush with {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Burns still had his {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a flopped set of sevens showing.

"Alright, off to the cage," Burns added and will likely be back very soon.

With 55,000 in the middle and the turn reading {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Kahle Burns checked out of the big blind and Keith Lehr in the hijack made it 40,000 to go. Burns check-raised to 185,000 with 37,000 behind and Lehr moved all in to receive an instant call from Burns.

"Two pair and a flush draw," Burns announced and tabled his {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Lehr had outs with {a-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, but the {q-Spades} on the river only improved Burns to kings and queens instead.

The Rich Get Richer; Geilich Busts Morgenstern and Nagy

Nível 15 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

On a three-way flop of {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Gergo Nagy and Anton Morgenstern ended up all in and Ludovic Geilich quickly called to put two players at risk.

Anton Morgenstern: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Gergo Nagy: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Ludovic Geilich: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Morgenstern saw his hopes reduced to running fours for quads, while Nagy needed a queen or ace in order to remain in contention. Nothing changed with the {8-Clubs} turn and the {7-Diamonds} river only improved Geilich to an even better full house.

"The rich get richer" followed in table chat, as the Scotsman vaulted into the top spot.

Toilet Humour with Dominykas Karmazinas

Nível 16 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Dominykas Karmazinas
Dominykas Karmazinas

High Rollers are usually eerily quiet and serious places, but every so often they are punctuated by the laughter and frivolity of a select few players. Everyone's seen the way the ice-cold atmosphere at the tables can melt if, for example, a character like Jean-Robert Bellande .

Well the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller has one in the shape of Dominykas Karmazinas who has been regaling his table with stories and jovial conversation.

One such story concerned a poker player who had an unfortunate incident with some chips whilst in the bathroom.

"He had two $1,000 chips fall into the toilet while he was on it," said Karmazinas. "And $15,000 slide under the other cabin next door.

"He had to decide what to do, because if he stood up then the $2,000 got flushed because it flushes automatically. But someone might come into the next door and take his money."

The table, including Sean Winter, listened intently to the culmination of the story. Apparently, the player in question had reached into the toilet bowl to retrieve his chips before grabbing his chips from next door.

"He was washing his hands for 30 minutes!" said Karmazinas.
