Ngo Goes With Kings

Nível 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player jammed for his last 39,000 from under the gun, and Orlando, Florida's Quan Ngo three-bet shoved for 50,000 next to act.

"Well, it's been a pleasure playing with you guys," the button said before committing his last 42,000, and after the blinds got out of the way, the trio tabled their hands.

Under The Gun: {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Button: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Quan Ngo: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The {2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop gave the under-the-gun player a gutshot, and he improved to an open-ender on the {7-Spades} turn. Ngo pumped his fist after the {4-Hearts} hit the river, and he scored a double KO.

"Kings baby! Nice hand!" the button said to Ngo. Instead of immediately leaving, the button patiently waited at the seat for a few moments, saying he, "had a drink on the way" before getting his libation and exiting.

Gold Hanging In

Nível 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jamie Gold
Jamie Gold

Jamie Gold is still in the Day 1c field, but his stack has taken a bit of a hit.

Gold opened for 10,000 from early position and the player to his direct right called. The flop came {3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Spades}, and Gold checked. His opponent put a 100,000 chip in the pot, though it's unclear what the actual declared bet amount was.

Gold thought for a minute, gave his opponent the lookover and folded, taking his stack down to 81,000.

The once raucous Pavillion Green #248 table has started to mellow out a bit after the dinner break. "We went from the craziest table to the quietest. Everybody eats and gets tired," Gold said.

Big Slick Does the Trick For Onyeka

Nível 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

After a raise to 15,000 by Chuto Onyeka in the hijack and a call from a player in the small blind, Buffalo, New York poker pro and former Mid States Poker Tour Player of the Year Chris Meyers jammed for 50,000 from under the gun. Onyeka called and the small blind folded.

Chris Meyers: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Chuto Onyeka: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Meyers had a sheepish grin on his face after being called, and his hand wouldn't come out of the cookie jar after a {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts} board brought little sweat for Onyeka.

Marshman Mashes One Out

Nível 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jason Marshman raised to 7,000 from under the gun, and the cutoff three-bet shoved for 42,000. Action folded back to Marshman, who snapped him off.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Jason Marshman: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

"About what I figured," Marshman said.

Marshman improved to a set on the {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop, and he said, "No club!"

He got his wish on the {2-Hearts} turn, and his full house secured the elimination after the {a-Spades} on the river.

Time For the Dinner Break

Nível 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Players are off on a 75-minute dinner break. When they return, registration for Day 1c of Event #3: BIG 50 - $500 No-Limit Hold'em will come to a close. The 500 denomination chips will also be raced off during this break.

Zolotow on the Rise

Nível 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Steve Zolotow is casually talking up the other players at his table in the Brasilia Room, while continuing to add to an impressive Day1c stack.

Zolotow barely broke his conversational stride as he scooped his latest pot, his {a-Spades}{5-Spades} being the wining hand on a board of {8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. The longtime poker player now has 200,000 chips.

Sitting Down and Doubling Up

Nível 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A player identifying herself as Anastasia M. sat down at a table two seats to the right of Matt Stout, and on her very first hand at the new table got right into the mix.

Stout opened to 6000 from early position and got two callers before the action came around to Anastasia M., who jammed for her 32,000-chip stack on the big blind. Stout folded, a player in middle position called, and the small blind folded.

Anastasia M. showed {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}, a nice hand to pick up for your first pot at a new table. The middle position player showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, and the board came out {q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} as the newcomer doubled up in quick fashion.

Playan Keeps Playing After Binking the River

Nível 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Carlos Playan got his last 62,500 in from middle position, and was at risk and in trouble against the big blind.

Carlos Playan: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-}{a-}

Playan's queens got no help on the {7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop or {6-Spades} turn, but the entire table gasped after the {q-Spades} fell on the river, delivering a two-outer for Playan and taking most of the chips of his opponent.
