Turn Bet Takes It

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Marco Iodice raised to 4,500 from middle position. Brian Graham, on the cutoff, three-bet to 11,000. Action folded back to Iodice who made the call.

Players saw a flop of {2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Iodice checked. Graham bet 9,000. Iodice check-called. The turn came the {7-Hearts}. Iodice checked again. Graham threw in a bet of 17,000, that was enough to take down the pot.

Aces Cracked; Coin Flip Won; Race Lost

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

"Yeahhh, that's one for the home team," Haral Tsivicos yelled after he had cracked the aces of James Obst. Tsivicos had flopped a full house with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} on a board of {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and doubled for another 90,000 on top of a pot of 80,000 in the middle of the table already.

Tobias Ziegler sent Alexey Laptev to the rail after he raised the button for 5,000 and called the three-bet shove by Laptev with the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Laptev had {A-}{Q-} and the board came {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to award the pot to the German.

Last but not least, Matas Cikinas suffered a big set back after losing a flip. On the heads-up turn of {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}, Richard Pachoca bet 30,500 and Cikinas moved all in with the superior stack. Pachoca eventually called all in for 91,900 with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} for the nut flush draw to flip against the Lithuanian's {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and got there thanks to the {A-Clubs} on the river.

Reimers Scoops a Monster Pot From Gooch

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

A monster pot had brewed between Jason Gooch and Mattew Reimers and we picked up the action on the river. There was over 160,000 chips already in the pot and the board showed {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{A-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Reimer was first to act and he put out a bet of what looked like 60,000. Gooch dropped into the tank.

After thinking about it for several minutes, Gooch released his hand.

"Good fold," Reimers said.

"Did you have a king?" Gooch asked.

"No, but good fold."

Reimers raked in the massive pot to move over 400,000 chips while Gooch dropped under 200,000 but still sits with a healthy stack.

The Chainsaw Continues to Run

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

We caught a glimpse of Allen Kessler's all in and double up recently. Kessler jammed all in for a little over 35,000 from middle position and Xi Yang called from the big blind.

Kessler tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} which was dominating Yang's {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. The flop came {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and both players paired their ace but Kessler still had the better kicker. The {q-Spades} landed on the turn giving Kessler two pair and Yang was drawing dead before the river.

Lewinski Survives on the River With House-Over-House Versus Straight

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Table 14 in the Brasilia room has just seen a hand occur that left them all amazed with one player claiming it to be the craziest hand he has seen in the Main Event so far.

Fred Lopez, in early position, Todd Lewinski, in the small blind, and Carlos Chang, in the big blind, got all their chips into the middle preflop with Chang covering them both.

Fred Lopez: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Todd Lewinski:{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Carlos Chang: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Board: {q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Spades}

Lewinski was the preflop favorite with pocket-queens and hit top set on the flop, but the ten on the turn gave Chang the straight, as well as Lopez a set. Chang was on the verge of scoring a double elimination, but the jack on the river paired the board to give Lewinski the lead once more, and he took the pot. Lopez was sent to the rail and Chang was left to wonder what could have been.

Yankov's Two Pair Are Good

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

John Roveto raised to 4,300 from the button and was called by Dominik Panka and Krasimir Yankov in the blinds.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and both Panka and Yankov checked. Roveto continued with a bet of 6,200 and only Yanakov called.

They both checked through the {4-Diamonds} on the turn to the {6-Clubs} on the river. Yankov bet 20,800 and Roveto asked for confirmation of the amount. The dealer did so and Roveto called by throwing in a chip. Yankov tabled {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for the flopped two pair and that was enough for Reveto to muck his hand.

Lynskey Gets a Fold from Weisner

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Alexander Lysnkey raised it up to 4,500 from early position and Melanie Weisner put in a three-bet to 15,500 out of the small blind. Lynskey called to go heads-up to a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Weisner led out for 12,000 only to have Lynskey raise to 35,000. Weisner looked puzzled and thought about it for a minute but elected to not continue any further in the hand.

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The flop read {6-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts} and there was about 43,000 in the middle already. Thang Pham was sitting in the big blind and had bet 15,000. Kazuki Ikeuchi was contemplating his options and then decided to raise to 45,000. Pham looked at Ikeuchi and folded.
