St. Clair Turns the Nuts Against Liebeler

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Tyler St. Clair
Tyler St. Clair

The action folded to Eric Liebeler who raised it up on the button. Tyler St. Clair called from the big blind and the flop came {q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. St. Clair check-called a bet of 12,500 from Liebeler and the {2-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

St. Clair checked again and Liebeler checked back this time to see the {9-Hearts} fall on the river. St. Clair led out for 21,500 and Liebeler instantly called. St. Clair turned over {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the nut straight and Liebeler sent his cards to the muck.

Kassouf No More

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

The seat of William Kassouf was empty soon after the level had restarted and Alex DiFelice confirmed that he had lost a flip for his last 45,000 or so with pocket nines against the ace-king of David Olson. Kassouf had previously doubled through Olson, but this time a king on the river spelled the end for the Brit.

Josep Galindo was also felted in the Amazon Tan section, while his fellow countryman Daniel Barriocanal doubled for 49,000 with {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} versus {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. The board came {K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{A-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Barriocanal faded the back door straight dilemma to remain in contention.

Spencer Cracks Henrysson's Aces on the River

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Bo Henrysson moved all in for his last 29,000 from early position and George Spencer called from middle position. The rest of the table folded and the hands were shown.

Bo Henrysson: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
George Spencer: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The dealer spread the {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop and Henrysson's aces maintained the lead. The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and the player in the four seat turned to Spencer and said "you've still got outs."

Sure enough Spencer did have two outs and the table erupted as the {9-Diamonds} hit the river. Spencer improved to nines full of eights to eliminated Henrysson.

Roland Israelashvili chimed in "You should write about this guy he played two hands all day, his kings lost to ace four all in pre and now this."

Couden Staying Afloat

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

There were about 25,000 chips in the pot and the {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop was out when we got to the table. The big blind checked, Joey Couden checked from under the gun, and the player next to act checked behind.

The {7-Diamonds} hit the turn and the big blind checked. Couden bet 15,000, both of his opponents folded, and Couden took the pot.

"I should have gotten it in preflop," said the player in the big blind. He told the table he'd had {A-}{K-}.

"I had you beat," Couden said.

"Preflop?"

"Yeah, preflop."

Tach Stacks Up

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Farukh Tach is sporting a stack of 791,000 right now and was kind enough to recount what had happened:

Before the break, Tach raised to 5,500, the small blind called and the player in the big blind three-bet to 23,500. Tach called and the player in the small blind folded.

The flop came {10-}{7-}{9-} with two diamonds. Tach called the 35,000 bet of the big blind.

The turn brought the third diamond with the {3-Diamonds}, now Tach bet 47,000 after his opponent checked and was called.

The river completed the board with the {8-}, Tach's opponent checked again. Tach bet 111,000 and got called. Tach tabled {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the turned nut-flush to scoop the pot.
