Welcome to PokerNews' Day 2 coverage of Event #64: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship.
There were 133 players who took part in the action on Day 1 and only 63 of them will be back in the mix today. Registration, however, is still open until the cards are in the air at 2 p.m.
On top of the chip counts to begin the day is defending champion Chris Vitch, leading the way with a stack of 279,500. With three four top 13 finishes this summer, Vitch has been close to capturing an elusive third WSOP gold bracelet. He knows what it takes to win this event and beginning Day 2 he is in prime position to do so again.
Rounding out the top five stacks are Daham Wang (276,500), Stuart Rutter (236,000), Terrence Hastoo (220,000) and Ryan Miller (207,500). Paul Tedeschi completed showing a six and Soner Osman, who had an eight up, was the only player to call.
Osman took the lead on fourth and put out a bet. Tedeschi called and that action would repeat itself on both fifth and sixth. On seventh street, Osman bet without looking at his last card and Tedeschi thought for roughly a minute before folding his hand.

Benny Glaser had the bring in and then called when Andrew Rennhack completed. The latter then check-called bets on both fourth and fifth before betting sixth when Glaser took the lead.
Glaser checked on seventh and then called a bet of 8,000 from Rennhack, who tabled for a pair of jacks with a 7-5 low. It was good on both ends as Glaser gathered his cards and sent them to the muck.

Terrence Hastoo brought it in and called when Max Pescatori completed. Hastoo then check-called 4,000 on fourth and called 8,000 on fifth when Pescatori led out with a pair of jacks. On sixth, Pescatori bet his last 8,000 and Hastoo called.
Hastoo showed another deuce on seventh which meant he couldn't win. Pescatori showed an ace on seventh for good measure and doubled on the hand.

Picking up the action on fourth street, Jason Gray was already all in with side action between Brian Twete and Andrew Rennhack.
Twete check-called a bet from Rennhack on fourth street before calling bets from Rennhack on fifth and sixth street. Rennhack bet again on seventh street and Twete folded.
Rennhack showed for a flush with an eight-seven low, while Gray tabled for an eigth-four low to get half of the main pot.
