Day 1 of Event $45: Big Blind Antes $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em (30 minute levels) starts at 11 a.m. This is a two-day event and a new event on the 2018 WSOP calendar. The tournament will implement a Big Blind Ante Structure, which means that the ante will come from the big blind and will speed up the game.
Players will begin with 5,000 in chips and will play twenty 30-minute levels. There will be a 20-minute break every four levels and a 75-minute dinner break after Level 12, at approximately 5:40 p.m.. Late registration will close after the first 8 levels, which will be around 3.40 p.m. local time.
Players who find a bag at the end of the day, will continue to battle it out on Saturday, June 23 at 12:00 p.m. until a winner is crowned.

The tournament director has announced the ceremonial ''shuffle up and deal'' and cards are in the air.
The tournament has just started but a lot of familiar faces have already been spotted including WSOP bracelet winners Nipun Java and James Mackey, as well as Antoine Saout, Ari Engel, and Kelly Minkin.
Mackey has a WSOP bracelet and $1,949,586 in total earnings at the WSOP. He has already secured two cashes this summer, including a second-place finish in Event #28: 3,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed. He will be looking to earn his second career bracelet.
