Steven Tabb Eliminated in 10th Place ($25,712)

Nível 23 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Steven Tabb
Steven Tabb

Steven Tabb was in the big blind, calling Nicholas Seiken's raise. He drew three and Seiken drew one. Tabb check-called and they both changed one. Tabb called one more bet and drew one again while Seiken patted.

Tabb led out and Seiken paused for over a minute.

"Sick. Wow," he said. Then he asked how much Tabb had behind and saw it was 12,000. "Oh, man."

"Sorry guys, I have an actual decision." The table said that they're fine with Seiken taking his time. Eventually, he called.

"Eight-seven-six," Tabb said, perhaps thinking that his hand was good. But Seiken announced eight-seven perfect, which was a little surprising for Matt Glantz and [Removed:412].

The next hand saw Tabb all in when Glantz limped from the button and Tabb called off. Hanh Tran raised to the side pot and Glantz stuck around. Tabb drew three, Tran one and Glantz three. Glantz raised Tran's bet and Tran called. Tabb and Glantz took one while Tran patted and the action was checked. The final round went one-pat-one again and no additional bets were made.

Tabb opened {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} but he drew a {J-} and couldn't beat Tran's {8-}{7-}{6-}{X-}{X-}. Glantz mucked and Tran scooped the pot, eliminating Tabb in 10th place.

Quek Sheng

Nicholas Seiken made it two bets on the button and Christopher Kruk called in the small blind. Quek Sechariah Sheng was in the big blind and put in his remaining 11,000.

Kruk drew three while the other two swapped one. Kruk check-called a bet from Seiken and drew one with Seiken standing pat.

Another check-call saw Kruk draw one last card and Seiken patted.

Kruk check-folded to one last bet from Seiken and Seiken tabled a {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} to send Sheng to the rail in 11th place.

Calvin Anderson Eliminated in 12th Place ($19,428)

Nível 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Calvin Anderson
Calvin Anderson

Calvin Anderson was in a pot against Farzad Bonyadi with both players taking two on the first draw. Anderson bet and Bonyadi called and Anderson stood pat. Bonyadi peeled one and called Anderson's bet. Then he took one again and Anderson checked the river, patting. Bonyadi threw in a bet and Anderson decided to fold, leaving himself with 83,000.

He lost them on the following hand against Randy Ohel in a four-bet pre situation. Anderson drew two, Ohel one and Anderson called a bet. They took one each on the second draw and Ohel fired again. Anderson check-shoved for 13,000 more and Ohel called.

Both Anderson and Ohel stood pat and Ohel rolled over {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Anderson briefly flashed what looked like a ten-nine and left his chair.

Nível 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Tyler Meservy
Tyler Meservy

Tyler Meservy three-bet over Nicholas Seiken's raise and then called his four-bet, leaving himself with 15,000. Meservy drew two and Seiken took one before Meservy bet-called for his remaining chips.

Meservy was out of position and patted but when Seiken stood pat as well, Meservy broke his hand and drew one on the last draw. Seiken remained pat and turned up his {9-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}. Meservy was drawing live with {8-}{7-}{5-}{3-} but he was unable to peel the river and walked away in 13th place.

The remaining players have been redrawn to the last two tables.

Hanh Tran Eyes Unprecedented Double in 2-7 Triple Draw Championship

Hanh Tran
Hanh Tran

Coming back from a 16-1 deficit, Vietnam-born Austrian player Hanh Tran won his first bracelet two weeks ago in the $1,500 2-7 Triple Draw. With one bit of gold hardware under his belt, Tran is now aiming to double down on his victories and pair the title. He sits in the middle of the pack among final 13 players in the Event #44: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Championship.

While there's still a lot of draws to be made and many sevens to pat, Tran is now getting closer to becoming the first player ever to win two bracelets in this game during the same series. And while 2-7 Triple Draw seems to be getting more popular around the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino facility, the potential accomplishment of nabbing a summer double is emphasized by the fact that there are exactly two events in this limit draw variant featured on the WSOP schedule.

Tran might not be the biggest favorite in terms of his initial position coming to the final day, but his wave of success certainly can't be ignored. He's already pulled off one of the most remarkable heads-up upsets in the $1,500 event, snubbing massive chip leader Oscar Johansson.

So the largest stacks should be highly alerted, especially when a deep structure is taken into account. Michael Noori will try to go wire-to-wire after leading the tournament for two consecutive days, having 870,000 in his bag ahead of the final day. Midway through the 2018 series, Noori has notched seven cashes so far and he'll be hungry to convert his eighth into a debut victory. Noori is yet to make a podium at WSOP and he'll surely aim to capitalize on the opportunity that now lies ahead of him.

Highly-accomplished no-limit player [Removed:412] is second in chips with 658,000, followed by Shek Queng, Randy Ohel and Jason Gray. Sixth-placed Tran is the lowest-ranked player on the standings with a chip-stack higher than the virtual average line, but there's only one truly short-stacked player in the field as Tyler Meservy brings just three big bets to the tables. The others will have a solid room to pick their spots cautiously, guarding eight-plus big bets apiece.

That means we're likely in for a long day full of tremendous battles and the chips could be swinging fairly easily. Each of the 13 remaining players has a legit shot at the title and $287,987 first-place prize so make sure to come back at PokerNews at 2 p.m. to follow our live coverage of the final draw poker tournament of the 2018 World Series of Poker.
