Brown Check Calls with a Monster

Nível 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Peter Donohoe opened to 20,000 from the hijack and James Brown called from the big blind. The flop came down {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Brown checked to Donohoe who then moved all in for around 120,000.

Brown snap-called and Donohoe then tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a pair of jacks. Brown then showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for top set and a big lead in the hand.

The turn fell the {8-Hearts} and Donohoe now had a bundle of cards that he could connect with. But the {8-Diamonds} on the river sealed the deal for Brown, who now has one of the bigger stacks in the tournament.
