Rossi Has Two Diamonds

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Esther Rossi: {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} / {4-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {8-Spades}{J-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Esther Rossi was calling a bet on fifth street when we arrived. A third diamond card landed on her board but both players slowed down, checking. Rossi fired on the river and her opponent reached to his chip-stack: "I'll pay you," he said and so he did.

"Flush," Rossi declared when she rolled over her hole cards. She earned the pot and climbed over 40,000 in chips.

Fleck and Cole At It Again

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Katherine Fleck
Katherine Fleck

Katherine Fleck and Scott Cole were both in the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, which Cole bubbled and Fleck finished 16th, and they ended up on the same table right now. Several hands saw them go at each other and it was no surprise to see them in action again.

Katherine Fleck: {X-}{X-} / {2-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} / {X-}
Scott Cole: {X-}{X-} / {K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs} / {X-}

Two bets were already in to sixth and Cole bet, Fleck called. Both ended up checking on seventh and Cole showed {K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for kings and fours. "I had a lot of outs and missed," Fleck said and sent her cards into the muck.

Cole chipped up soon after to get both at almost even stacks.

Weich Eliminated on the Last Hand Before the Break

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Al Barbieri: {10-}{2-}{A-} / {2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Robert Ferdinand: {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} / {6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Edward Weich: {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} / {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{K-Spades}

With action on seventh street, Edward Weich was already all in while Al Barbieri bet to a side pot. Robert Ferdinand called and the cards went up.

"Tens up," Barbieri announced before rolling over his cards. Ferdinand asked which was Barbieri's other pair.

"Tens and deuces," Barbieri said and Ferdinand opened his better two pair, showing tens and sevens.

Barbieri sighed and Weich walked away in disappointment as his pair of kings couldn't keep him in the tournament.

Roy Weiss: {X-}{X-} / {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts} / {X-}
Jeff Lisandro: {X-}{X-} / {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} / {X-}
Al Barbieri: {X-}{X-} / {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} / {X-}

Al '"Sugar Bear"' Barbieri was all in for his last 1,600 on third and Roy Weiss, as well as Jeff Lisandro continued to battle for the bigger side pot that was about to emerge. Roy Weiss and Lisandro checked fourth and Weiss then bet fifth and sixth to pick up a call. Weiss also bet seventh and Lisandro raised, while Weiss had already tabled his {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for an ace-high straight.

Weiss called the raise and Lisandro turned over his {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a flush, Barbieri had already grabbed his belongings and flipped over {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{X-} very briefly before exiting the tournament area.

Mobassery Continues to Rise

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante
Farhad Mobassery
Farhad Mobassery

Farhad Mobassery doesn't have to be particularly concerned with the fact that the tournament is now only a few spots away from paid places. With bubble looming, Mobassery is sitting on roughly 115,000 in chips. He just scooped another pot, getting paid with two pair in a hand against Mark Radoja.

Radoja's board showed three Broadway cards and he faced a bet on the river, with around 20,000 in the middle. He eventually convinced himself to make the call but shook his head when Mobassery showed him the winning hand.

Farhad Mobassery: {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Spades} / {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{A-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Mark Radoja: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {Q-Spades}{K-Spades}{2-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

Scott Cole: {X-}{X-} / {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} / {X-}

Picking up a three-way pot on fifth, Sakura Sugawara bet when she paired up her eight and Scott Cole called, while Paul Sokoloff quickly tossed his cards into the muck. Sugawara bet again on sixth and Cole raised, Sugarawa called and checked seventh. Cole bet and that forced a fold. Cole flashed two hearts for a flush before collecting the pot.
