Welcome to Day 2 of PokerNews' coverage of Event #22: $1,500 Eight Game Mix. Just 134 players remain from the starting field of 481 players, each looking up at the first-place prize of $147,348 and a coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet.
On top of the chip counts entering Day 2 is Jon Turner with 75,600, followed by Alessio Isaia with 73,500 and Farzad Rouhani with 68,200. Fourth in chips is Matt Woodward with 67,550, fresh off of a fourth-place finish in Event #15: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. that ended just hours prior to the start of this event.
A plethora of poker's best remains in the field, too. Daniel Negreanu (45,775), Scott Seiver (45,750), Valentin Vornicu (42,950), Anthony Zinno (33,650), James Obst (33,525) and John Racener 32,275) are all in the top 40 of chip counts, so whoever survives the 10 Day 2 levels will have had to earn their spot among the remaining 10-20 players that are expected to survive.
