Kuhnen Takes From Chipleader Tricarico

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

A player at the table informed us that chipleader Alexandro Tricarico open-shoved and got a call from Markus Kuhnen.

Alexandro Tricarico: {7-}{7-}
Markus Kuhnen: {k-Hearts}{10-}

The board had come king high and Kuhnen was able to survive whilst denting Tricarico's stack in the process.

Lybaert and Stewart Fight Once Again

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The board was showing {a-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and around 90,000 chips were already in the middle when Bart Lybaert checked in big blind and faced an overbet of more than 100,000 from Scott Stewart.

Lybaert quickly folded and chipped down to 300,000.

Deyra in Good Shape

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

On a board showing {5-Clubs}{6-}{7-Clubs}{2-} and with already around 35,000 in the middle, Ivan Deyra bet in the small blind for 22,000.

His opponent in big blind raised it to 65,000 and Deyra three-bet shoved for 100,000. After some thought, his opponent folded and Deyra climbed up to 200,000.

Tricarico Rivers Flush to Take Chip Lead

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Alexandro Tricarico
Alexandro Tricarico

Alexandro Tricarico raised from the hijack and Foad Larki called from the button before the big blind also called. The flop fell {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and only Larki called a continuation-bet from Tricarico.

The {a-Spades} hit the turn and Tricarico fired again this time for 47,000, which was met by another call from Larki.

On the {2-Hearts} river, Tricarico pushed all in, and Larki called without much hesitation.

Alexandro Tricarico: {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Foad Larki: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Tricarico had hit his flush on the river to claim a huge pot and send Larki to the rail after he had slow-played his set of queens.

Brereton's Flush Beats Petrov's Straight

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

All of Yordan Petrov's chip stack was being moved over to Luke Brereton when the latter told us how the hand went down.

Petrov raised and Brereton defended his big blind to see a {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop. The turn came the {k-Clubs} and the river the {j-Diamonds}. There was action on all three streets and after the river had fallen both players had committed all their chips.

Luke Brereton: {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Yordan Petrov: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Both players had flopped the nuts, but it was Brereton who improved to a flush on the river to take all the chips and eliminate Petrov. It was another great run for Petrov, however, who secures his second WSOP cash in as many days after he finished in 56th place for $4,602 in Event #13.
