Strelitz Gets a Fold

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Daniel Strelitz, on the button, opened to 6,000. Yiannis Liperis, in the big blind, called.

A flop reading {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} was dealt. Liperis checked. Strelitz bet 4,000. Liperis called.

The turn came the {j-Diamonds} and Liperis checked. Strelitz continued for 16,000. Liperis check-called.

The {3-Diamonds} river completed the board. Liperis checked again. Strelitz threw in a bet of 25,500. His opponent tanked for a while before proceeding to give up his hand.

Garshofsky Flops a Flush But Exits

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The flop read {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} when Mitch Garshofsky bet around 14,000 into Michael Ortiz. The latter decided to move all in for 76,600 and Garshofsky snap-called.

Mitch Garshofsky: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Michael Ortiz: {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}

Turn: {q-Hearts}
River: {q-Spades}

Garshofsky had flopped the second nuts with a king high flush and Ortiz held bottom set with pocket threes and needed help. The turn queen didn't seem to help Ortiz but after the second queen fell on the river he had improved to a full house to scoop the pot and eliminate Garshofsky after their chip counts were confirmed.
