Kamran Over McCorkell

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Kamran raised to 85,000 from the hijack and Craig McCorkell called from the button. Trevor Martin came along from the big blind and the trio took a {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop.

Martin checked, Kamran continued for 130,000, and McCorkell called. Martin let his cards go, allowing the {9-Hearts} to hit the felt on the turn. Kamran moved 240,000 forward, sending McCorkell into the tank. He thought for over a minute before throwing his cards away. Kamran took the pot and now has about 2.38 million in chips.

Vadzim Markushevski - 76th place

William Cole opened to 90,000 in the hijack, and Vadzim Markushevski flatted from the cutoff. From the small blind, Michael Finstein three-bet to 250,000, and Cole called. Markushevski immediately shoved all in for about 950,000 more, and Finstein thought briefly before gathering all of his chips and slowly pushing them into the middle. Cole quickly mucked.

Finstein: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Markushevski: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, no help to Markushevski.

Paul Wins Race to Double

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Gabe Paul opened from middle position to 85,000 and Luis Velador three-bet the button to 225,000. Once the action was back on Paul, he moved all in for 850,000 and Velador went into the tank for close to a minute before making the call.

Paul: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Velador: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

With Paul racing for his tournament life, the {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} board would ensure he doubled through to just over 1.8 million while Velador slipped to roughly 3.2 million in chips.

Roberts Takes One from Zaichenko

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

From under the gun, Brian Roberts kicked things off with a raise to 100,000 that was called by only Andrey Zaichenko in the cutoff.

The {A-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop would see Roberts cut out a bet of 180,000 which Zaichenko quickly responded to by folding.

Roberts collected the pot and climbed to roughly 2.2 million as Zaichenko fell to 3.9 million in chips.

Pocket Kings Boost Force Over Five Million

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Leif Force raised to 90,000 from early position and Robert Park called from the cutoff. The button and blinds released, leaving the two heads up to the flop.

The dealer fanned {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades} on the felt and Force continued out for 135,000. Park called and the {2-Hearts} dropped down on the turn. Force continued his aggression on the turn with a bet of 240,000. Park stuck around.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board on the river and both players checked. Force showed {K-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, prompting a quick muck from Park. Force took down the pot and now has about 5.325 million.

Everybody Runs On Lunkin

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

From middle position, Vitaly Lunkin raised to 80,000. Mark Newhouse, last year's ninth-place finisher, quickly reraised to 800,000 from the cutoff seat — at least the second time he has stuck in such a large three-bet. Play moved back to Lunkin, and he went all in for 1.05 million. Newhouse called.

Newhouse held the {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}, and Lunkin had the {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. The flop came down {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Spades} to give Newhouse the lead with a pair of queens. The turn was the {K-Clubs} and pushed Lunkin one more step closer to the rail, but the {8-Clubs} fell on the river to deliver the Russian with a set and double him up.

With that loss, Newhouse dropped back to 6.42 million in chips.

TV Crew & Dealer Accidentally Reveal Wilson's Card to Opponent

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

David Tuthill opened for 80,000 from the cutoff only to have Daniel Wilson three-bet to 180,000 from the small blind. William Cole then flatted from the big, Tuthill got out of the way, and the flop came down {2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Wilson checked, Cole bet 260,000, and Wilson called.

Both players then checked the {5-Diamonds} turn before the {4-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Wilson took the opportunity to lead out for 365,000, and it was enough to get Cole to fold. Wilson then showed just the {2-Diamonds} before being pushed the pot.

The television crew, which had been filming the hand, then made the decision that they wanted to document both of Wilson's hole cards, which is permitted by WSOP rules. To do so the crew puts a handheld camera on the felt and the dealer secretly lifts the card so only the camera can see. In this instance the camera was put a little too far out on the felt, and the dealer lifted the cards a bit high so that Cole could see what Wilson's other card was.

Isaac Baron pointed it out, but by this time the cards had been mucked. Cole admitted that he had seen what Wilson's other card had been and the matter was left at that.
