Big Slick for Tonking and Stephensen

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Eddy Sabat opened with a raise to 250,000. William Tonking reraised from the cutoff seat to 625,000, and then Felix Stephensen reraised on the button to 1.125 million. Play folded back to Sabat, he gave it up, and then Tonking called to see the {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop. After Tonking checked, Stephensen checked behind.

The turn was the {6-Hearts}, and both players checked again. The {A-Hearts} completed the board on the river, and Tonking check-called a bet of 625,000 from Stephensen.

Both players showed a variation of ace-king — Tonking with the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Stephensen with the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} — and chopped up the pot.

Guo Takes One

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Jorryt Van Hoof raised to 250,000 in middle position and got callers in Dong Guo (middle position) and Peter Placey (big blind). Van Hoof bet 450,000 on the {2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, and Guo raised to 1,025,000. Placey thought for a couple of minutes before folding, but Van Hoof had an easier decision: into the muck they went.

Small One for Devonshire

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Bryan Devonshire raised to 220,000 under the gun and Bruno Politano called from the cutoff. The rest of the field folded and it was heads-up action to the {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop. Devonshire checked, as did Politano, and the {2-Clubs} appeared on the turn.

This time Devonshire bet 280,000 and Politano banged his cards to the muck.

Aaron Kaiser Eliminated in 36th Place ($230,487)

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Aaron Kaiser - 36th Place
Aaron Kaiser - 36th Place

From the hijack seat, Aaron Kaiser raised to 225,000. Dan Smith made the call from the button, and the flop came down {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Kaiser bet 250,000, and Smith made the call.

The turn card was the {J-Hearts}, and Kaiser checked. Smith opted to check behind, and the river delivered the {K-Clubs}. Kaiser led with a bet of 450,000, and Smith put in a big enough raise to put him all in. Kaiser made the call for around 1.6 million total and tabled the {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} for a set of aces. Smith had backed into Broadway with the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}, and his hand would be the best one.

Kaiser was eliminated in 36th place for $230,487, and Smith moved to over 10 million in chips.

Haugen vs. Velador

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Luis Velador opened for 250,000 from middle position and Matthew Haugen called from the cutoff. The button and both blinds folded, and the two saw a flop of {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Velador checked, Haugen bet 325,000, and Velador called before checking the {5-Diamonds} turn. Haugen bet 500,000, Velador called, and the {a-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Both players checked and Velador tabled the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for aces and deuces with a queen kicker. It was good as Haugen sent his cards to the muck.

Mahin Makes Assuncao Pay

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

The flop showed {9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{5-Spades} when all four players that were involved decided to check. On the turn the {2-Spades} hit and Peter Placey checked to Luis Assuncao who bet 350,000 from the big blind. Martin Jacobson, who was seated under the gun, folded and Scott Mahin called from the hijack. Placey called as well creating three-way action on the river.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and both Placey and Assuncao checked to Mahin who bet 650,000. Placey snap-folded and Assuncao went into the tank for about two minutes before finally deciding to make the call.

Mahin quickly turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Assuncao shook his head. The Brazilian mucked and Mahin raked in this big pot.

"Great bet," Christopher Greaves said, as Mahin smiled and stacked his new chips.

Sarra Over Haugen

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Matthew Haugen raised to 250,000 from the hijack and Thomas Sarra Jr called out of the big blind. The flop came down {6-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Sarra checked to the raiser and Haugen came out for 3250,000. Sarra almost instantly came over the top with a raise to 725,000 and Haugen stuck around.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Sarra checked. Haugen rapped the table back, allowing the {2-Spades} to hit the river. Two checks allowed Sarra to show {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for tens and deuces to take down the pot. Sarra now has 5.885 million in chips while Haugen has dropped to 7.51 million.

Lightbourne Reaps Reward at Smith Bluff

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Dan Smith opened to 200,000 from under the gun and Iaron Lightbourne called from the hijack to see a {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop fall.

Smith continued for 250,000 and Lightbourne made the call before both players checked the {3-Hearts} on the turn.

The river landed the {Q-Diamonds} and Smith bet 650,000 which Lightbourne instantly called.

Smith tabled his {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for king-high, but it would be Lightbourne's {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} that would see him river a pair (although he was already ahead) to scoop the pot and climb to 5.6 million as Smith slipped to 8.5 million in chips.

"Which Spanish Country Are You From?"

Nível 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Andoni Larrabe, of Spain
Andoni Larrabe, of Spain

Eddy Sabat was the second player to act preflop and he raised to 250,000. Andoni Larrabe reraised to 625,000 on his direct left, and the action folded back to Sabat, who called.

The dealer fanned {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, Sabat checked, and Larrabe tossed out 425,000. Sabat called almost instantly.

The turn was a repeat three - the {3-Clubs} - Sabat checked again, and Larrabe bet an additional 1.1 million. Sabat called quicker than he did on the flop.

Sabat checked as soon as the {5-Clubs} completed the board, and Larrabe immediately announced he was all in.

"You didn't want to think about it?" Sabat asked as Larrabe double-fisted his remaining 3.15 million into the middle.

Sabat tanked for several minutes, moving around in his chair and staring down Larrabe.

"Which Spanish country are you from?" he finally asked the Spaniard, who is of course, Spanish.

Larrabe remained silent, focusing his eyes on one single spot on the felt.

Sabat, with a smile on his face, finally folded. Larrabe, unchanged, pushed his cards into the muck and pulled in the pot.
