De Korver Bets Out Beckman

Garrett Beckman opened to 450 under-the-gun only to have 2009 EPT Grand Final Champion, Pieter de Korver, three-bet next to act to 1,050. The button called, as did Beckman before the dealer spread a flop.

De Korver continued for 1,675 and only Beckman called as the landed on the turn and de Korver bet out 2,300. Beckman quickly mucked and slipped below starting stack as de Korver climbed to over 20,000 in chips.

Hollywood Director Nick Cassavetes Came to Play

Famed Hollywood director Nick Cassavetes' plays in today's Main Event and for now, things are going really well.

We just watched Cassavetes limp in from the small blind and the big blind checked. The flop brought out and Cassavetes tossed in 200. The big blind raised to 500 and the action was back on the man who directed "The Notebook" and "Entourage", among others.

"You raise?" Cassavetes said while putting on an Italian accent.

"You raise?" he asked again before tossing in a three-bet to 1,600.

The big blind called and on the turn, both players checked. On the river, Cassavetes tossed out 2,250 and his opponent quickly folded.
