Sheikhan Falls to Iacofano

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

We noticed that Shawn Sheikhan was no longer in his seat, and a quick check with his table revealed that he had fallen in the last hand before the break.

"Kevin [Iacofano] busted him," said Ben Yu. He then explained Sheikhan had a draw to a six-low but ended up missing.

Cantu vs. Iacofano

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

We picked up the action on fourth street when Kevin Iacofano bet 1,500 and Brandon Cantu called him. When Iacofano found a {10-} on fifth and Cantu paired a {7-}, the former fired out 3,000. It did the trick as Cantu collected his cards and tossed them to the dealer.

Iacofano: (x-x) / {7-}{2-}{10-}
Cantu: (x-x) / {3-}{7-}{7-} fold

The Money Bubble Has Arrived

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Due to two eliminations on the outer tables the field is now down to 41 players, which means we are one spot off the money. Hand-for-hand play has been initiated. One more player will leave empty handed, and in the process the top 40 will be guaranteed a minimum payday of $2,575.

Slow Going

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Razz isn't exactly a fast-paced game; as such, action has been slow here on the bubble. Sooner or later it's going to burst, and we'll be here when it does.

Kataria Catches the River to Stay Alive

Nível 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Avinash Kataria was the short stack on the bubble, and he finally got his chips in against Phil Hellmuth when he bet his last 2,000 on fourth street.

Kataria: {a-}{q-} / {3-}{5-}{k-}{6-} / {4-}
Hellmuth: {2-}{3-} / {9-}{3-}{5-}{8-} / {7-}

Per custom, Hellmuth showed seventh street first and revealed an 8-7-5-3-2 low. That meant Kataria needed to hit, and he did as a {4-} gave him a winning 6-5-4-3-A low. Kataria was clearly excited and his stack was infused with new life.
