Former November Niner Shoves

Nível 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

With 2,500 or so in the pot and a board reading {10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, the player in the small blind checked and Ylon Schwartz, who you may remember as the 2008 WSOP Main Event fourth-place finisher for $3,774,974, moved all in from middle position for his last 1,000.

The small blind didn't want any part of it and quickly released his hand.

"I Got There on the River"

Nível 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

With approximately 1,300 in the pot and a board reading {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Faraz Jaka checked from middle position and his opponent bet 700 from the cutoff. Jaka responded by check-raising all in for right around 2,500, and the aggressive move put his opponent in the tank.

After two minutes or so ticked off the clock, the cutoff folded and Jaka smiled. "I got there on the river," he said before showing just the {2-Hearts}.

Balsiger Shoves Early

Nível 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

After the cutoff put in a small raise, 2012 WSOP Main Event third-place finisher Jake Balsiger called from the small blind and it was heads-up action to the {4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop. Balsiger checked, his opponent bet 150, and Balsiger sprung to life with a check-raise to 425.

His opponent made the call and then watched Balsiger fire out 675 on the {6-Clubs} turn. Again the cutoff called, and Balsiger opted to keep the pressure on by moving all in on the {K-Hearts} river. His opponent mumbled something about the third heart and then slid his cards to the dealer.

Bad Start for the National Champion

Nível 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

Less than a week ago, WSOP bracelet winner Dominik Nitsche took down the 2014 WSOP National Championship in Atlantic City for $352,800 and his second gold bracelet.

Nitsche, whose first bracelet came in a $1,000 buy-in no-limit hold'em event, is in action today looking for more success; however, he has an early speed bump in the form of Kevin Haff.

We caught the action on the river with 500 in the pot and a board reading {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Haff had bet 225 from the small blind and Nitsche raised him to 550 from the hijack. Haff thought for a bit before announcing that he was all in, and Nitsche thought for about ten seconds before folding.

"Six?" Nitsche asked his opponent. Haff then table the {9-Spades}{6-Clubs} for the nuts.
