Madsen Tank Folds

Nível 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

We arrived at the table with a board reading {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and about 4,000 chips in the middle. Jim Rice had bet 1,500 and action was on Jeff Madsen. Eventually Madsen folded and Rice claimed a decent sized pot.

We also seen Jesse Sylvia, Xuan Liu, and French Canadian poker analyst Laurence Grondin take their seats and Ami Alibay vacate his.

Slow Start For Collins

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Former November Niner Phil Collins' off to a good start at this year's World Series of Poker with four cashes but today his start has been a bit slow.

Collins made a raise to 75 and the player in the small blind made the call. The flop brought out {9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and both players checked after which the turn was the {5-Hearts}. The small blind checked again and this time Collins bet 150. Collins' opponent check-raised to 425 and the call was made.

On the river the {2-Hearts} popped up and Collins shook his head when his opponent bet 725. Collins ultimately folded and left himself with 3,400 chips.

The French-Canadians

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We just saw Jason Duval enter the tournament with his registration slip. Duval won his WSOP bracelet in this event last year and is looking to defend.

We also noticed that Marc-Etienne McLaughlin has accumulated a few chips.

Great Start For Young

Justin Young
Justin Young

We just caught the tail end of a big hand in which Justin Young managed to knock a player out. Young was kind enough to give us some the details as we barely scribbled down the board and the cards.

Young had raised preflop and called the three-bet from the player on his left after which the flop brought out {Q-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Young check-called a 300-chip bet and on the turn the {2-Spades} popped up. Young checked again and this time his opponent bet 1,000 with about 1,000 left behind.

Young put his opponent all in with {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and he was called by {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. The river brought the {A-Spades} and Young raked in this big pot in the second level of the day.

Tentori's Aces Hold

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We arrived at the table on the turn with a board of {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Jordan Tentori had called the all in of a player to his left.

Tentori: {A-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Opponent: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Tentori had his opponent drawing very slim, needing one of the two remaining jacks. The river {6-Hearts} was exactly what Tentori had asked for and he shipped the pot and eliminated the player to his left.
