Mercier Sent to the Rail

We noticed the seat formerly occupied by Jason Mercier was vacated, and a quick check with Ed Brogdan confirmed that the South Florida native had been eliminated.

As Brogdan told it, Mercier got his last 9,500 or so all in preflop holding {j-}{10-} against an opponent's {a-}{q-}. The board ran out clean and that was all she wrote for Mercier.

Pocket Cowboys Gun Down Rampone

Nível 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Just before the break, Nick Rampone got his last 6,900 all in preflop and was up against Ryan Hughes.

Hughes: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Rampone: {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The {2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop was as dry as could be for Rampone, but he perked up a bit when the {9-Diamonds} turn gave him a gutshot straight draw. It didn't come in though as the {Q-Spades} blanked on the river to send Rampone out the door.

Strelitz Sends Another to the Rail

Nível 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Daniel Strelitz - at the final table of the $1.5k Six Max NLHE
Daniel Strelitz - at the final table of the $1.5k Six Max NLHE

Daniel Strelitz raised to 3,800 from the small blind and called when the big blind moved all-in for around 20,000 chips in total.

Strelitz showed {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and was slightly ahead of the {A-Spades}{7-Spades} of his opponent. The big blind paired his seven on the {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, but couldn't find any more of his outs on the {2-Diamonds} turn or the {J-Spades} river.

Strelitz, who finished third in the $1,500 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event for $180,587 in prize money, now has 188,000 chips in this event.
