Silver Doubles Through Failla

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Max Silver opened to 21,000, leaving 12,000 behind. Action folded around to Will Failla who moved all in from the small blind and, after some pay-jump discussion, Silver made the call.

Silver: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

Failla: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Silver's set keeps him alive and looking to make a deep run in his second straight $1,500 no-limit hold'em event.

Elias With a Giant Double

On the last hand of the level, Vincent Valenti raised to 5,400 from middle position and Ami Barer called. Darren Elias three-bet to 17,500 from the button and Valenti folded.

After some thought, Barer shoved all in and Elias snap-called with {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. Barer disappointingly turned over {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The board would run out {3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Elias scored the big double-up, leaving Barer severely crippled.

“Are You Kidding Me?”

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

There was an open for 5,000 and Phil Hellmuth raised it up from the big blind to 14,000 and got a call. Two players to the flop of {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} which they both checked.

The turn card was the {6-Clubs} and Hellmuth led for 13,000. As his opponent was deciding what to do Hellmuth told him, “Let me have this one. You take the next one.”

The speech was not persuasive enough and the bet was called. The river card was the {k-Hearts} and Hellmuth bet 17,000 saying again, “Let me have this one. You take the next one.”

This time the speech was met by a raise to 40,000 and Hellmuth was out of his chair.

“Are you kidding me?” Hellmuth said accusing his opponent of having {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and calling everyone who ever played against him an idiot. He then folded his cards and sat back down muttering.
