Easy Game

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Thayer Rasmussen just found a double up, getting all his chips in with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and matching up quite nicely with the {3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades} board.

We only caught the end of the pot and saw Robert Toye paying him off having mucked what had to be worse.

Gross Doubles

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jeff Gross shipped it in short and was happy to see no one snap called. He was even happier to find out the one player mulling it over was willing to call with {a-Spades}{8-Spades}.

He then appeared absolutely ecstatic when his {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} held on a {10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Clubs} run out.

Nitsche Running Things

Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Domimik Nitsche has moved into top spot on the leaderboard with some aggressive plays and a little run-good sauce.

It was no surprise to see him defend his big blind against a short stack shoving for just 11,500. What was rather shocking was to see his {k-}{2-} make a comback against {k-}{9-} when they both flopped a pair and Nitsche made trip deuces on the river.

Kirk Ships and Holds

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jeff Gross raised to 8,000 on the button and watched Tripp Kirk shove for 57,500 in the big blind. Gross went into the tank.

"Sorry, guys. Thirty seconds, I promise," he said after some thought. About a minute later, he stacked up two towers of T1,000 chips. "I'm going to... call."

Kirk: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Gross: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

"That's not a good flop," Gross said, as the dealer fanned {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} on the felt.

The {2-Hearts} turn and {8-Hearts} river were no better, and Gross was forced to double his opponent up.

On the Lam

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Simon Lam couldn't get any traction on Day 2.
Simon Lam couldn't get any traction on Day 2.

Simon Lam open-shipped from the button for 34,000 and was called by JC Tran in the big blind.

Tran: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Lam: {k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Lam was slightly ahead, but the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop turned him into a big dog. The {10-Clubs} opened up a straight draw for Lam, but the {9-Diamonds} river meant the former chip leader was done.
