John Andress Eliminated in 5th Place ($89,734)

Nível 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
John Andress - 5th Place
John Andress - 5th Place

Hand #42: Mark Darner received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #43: Tony Ruberto received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #44: John Andress moved all in under the gun for 260,000 and Davidi Kitai called. Andress turned over the {a-Spades}{6-Spades}, and Kitai held the same hand with the {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. The board ran out {a-Spades}{3-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and the two chopped the pot.

Hand #45: Tony Ruberto opened for 90,000 and won the pot.

Hand #46: Action folded to a short-stacked John Andress in the small blind and he moved all in for 230,000. Gordon Vayo was in the big and made the call.

Andress: {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Vayo: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Andress got it in good, but Vayo took the lead when the {5-Spades}{k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop paired his king. The {J-Diamonds} turn gave him two pair, which meant Andress needed to catch a three for a wheel to survive. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {4-Spades}. Andress missed and exited the tournament in fifth place for $89,734.

Nível 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Davidi Kitai
Davidi Kitai

Hand #47: Davidi Kitai opened for a raise from the button and won the pot uncontested.

Hand #48: Kitai raised to 85,000 and added yet more chips to his massive stack.

Hand #49: Tony Ruberto raised to 120,000 from the small blind and Kitai folded in the big blind.

Hand #50: Kitai sets the price to play at 95,000 and Gordon Vayo lets the Belgian have the pot.

Hand #51: Ruberto raised to 85,000 when first to act nd Kitai called on the button.

The dealer spread the {3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} flop and both players checked. The {2-Diamonds} came into play on the turn and again Ruberto checked, but Kitai was in no mood for checking behind, instead he made it 140,000 and Ruberto folded.

Hand #52: Ruberto received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #53: Ruberto raised to 85,000 from the small blind, putting the action on Kitai in the big blind. Kitai called and the {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop was placed onto the felt.

Ruberto bet 115,000, Kitai rechecked his hole cards before calling. Ruberto led for 140,000 upon the arrival of the {Q-Spades} turn, yet Kitai wouldn’t go away and he called.

The river brought the {3-Spades} into play and both players checked.

Kitai showed {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and won the pot.

Hand #54: From the small blind, Kitai raised to 95,000. Vayo folded in the big blind and Kitai won another pot.

Hand #55: Once again Kitai raised preflop, but this time folded when Mark Darner three-bet all in from the big blind.

Hand #56: Davidi Kitai opened for 85,000 under the gun and took down the blinds and antes.

Hand #57: Gordon Vayo moved all in under the gun for 615,000 and the rest of the players folded.

Hand #58: Tony Ruberto moved all in from the button and won the pot.

Hand #59: Davidi Kitai raised to 85,000 from the button and won the pot.

Hand #60: Davidi Kitai raised to 85,000 under the gun and Mark Darner moved all in from the small blind for 620,000. Tony Ruberto then moved all in over the top for just 30,000 more and Kitai got out of the way.

Ruberto: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Darner: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

It was a flip, but Darner needed to improve to stay alive. It didn't happen on the {2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, nor on the {10-Spades} turn. That meant Darner needed either an ace or queen on the river, but it was not meant to be as the {5-Spades} blanked.

Darner exited to a nice round of applause spearheaded by his rail which included Ryan Tepen, Ronnie Barah, and Chris Conrad.

Hands #61-65: Vayo Doubles Through Kitai

Nível 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #61: Gordon Vayo moved all in and Davidi Kitai asked for a count of his stack. The dealer obliged and informed Kitai it was for 618,000. Armed with this information Kitai decided to call.

Kitai showed {K-Spades}{9-Clubs} and was against the {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} of Vayo. The final board read {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Vayo won the pot and doubled up.

Hand #62: Tony Ruberto raised to 100,000 from the button and Kitai went into the tank for close to a minute before emerging with a raise to 225,000 from the big blind. Ruberto moved all-in, Kitai grimaced and mucked his hand.

Hand #63: Kitai’s raise to 85,000 from the button went uncalled.

Hand #64: It was heads up to the {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and both Ruberto and Kitai checked, which is what happened on the {6-Spades} turn. Ruberto lead out for 75,000 on the {9-Hearts} river and then called when Kitai raised to 230,000.

Kitai took the pot down with his {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

Hand #65: Ruberto raised to 85,000 from the button and Kitai responded with a three-bet to 265,000. Vayo folded but Ruberto called.

The dealer put the {4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop into view, Kitai bet 225,000 and Ruberto called. The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Kitai moved all-in prompting a quick fold from Ruberto.

Hands #66-70: Kitai Cracking His Knuckles

Nível 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #66: Davidi Kitai raised to 85,000 under the gun and won the pot.

Hand #67: Gordon Vayo limped the button, Tony Ruberto folded the small blind, and Davidi Kitai exercised his option in the big with a raise to 130,000. Vayo made the call and it was heads up to the flop, which came down {9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Kitai checked and then folded when Vayo bet 135,000.

Hand #68: Davidi Kitai raised to 95,000 from the small blind, Gordon Vayo called from the big, and the two saw a flop of {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Kitai led out for 70,000, Vayo called, and the {6-Spades} appeared on the turn. Kitai bet again, this time 145,000, and Vayo called. When the {7-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Kitai slowed down with a check and Vayo took the opportunity to bet 220,000. Kitai removed his sunglasses, cracked his knuckles, and then slid his cards to the muck.

Hand #69: Davidi Kitai opened for 85,000 from the button and was met by a three-bet to 215,000 from Gordon Vayo in the small blind. Kitai made the call and the two saw a flop of {q-Spades}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs}, which Vayo checked. Kitai bet 140,000 and Vayo folded.

Hand #70: Tony Ruberto limped from the small blind, Davidi Kitai checked his option from the big, and the flop came down {3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Ruberto led out for 60,000 and Kitai saw fit to pop it to 140,000. Ruberto made the call and the two watched the dealer burn and turn the {4-Diamonds}. Ruberto checked, as did Kitai, and the {A-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Ruberto checked and Kitai bet 240,000. Ruberto made the call but mucked when Kitai rolled over the {q-Spades}{4-Hearts} for two pair.

Nível 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #71: Davidi Kitai raised to 95,000 from the small blind and Gordon Vayo released his hand.

Hand #72: Kitai folded on the button prompting Vayo to move all-in from the small blind. Tony Ruberto called and showed {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Vayo the {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

The {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Spades} flop kept Ruberto’s hand ahead and also gave him an open-ended straight draw. The draw didn’t come in, but when the turn and river were the {3-Diamonds} and {3-Clubs} Ruberto had doubled up.

Hand #73: Ruberto's Tournament Life Comes Down to the River

Nível 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #73: Tony Ruberto raised to 125,000 from the small blind, Davidi Kitai called from the big, and the flop came out {8-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Ruberto bet 165,000, Kitai called, and the {5-Clubs} appeared on the turn. Ruberto moved all in for 620,000 and Kitai snap-called.

Kitai: {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Ruberto: {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Ruberto held top pair, but it was no good as Kitai had flopped two pair. Ruberto needed either a seven, eight, or five on the river to stay alive, and wouldn't you know it, he found one when the {7-Spades} spiked. Just like that Ruberto went from the short stack to having 2 million in chips.

Hands #74-79: Ruberto Goes on a Mini Heater

Nível 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Tony Ruberto
Tony Ruberto

Hand #74: Davidi Kitai raised all-in from the small blind and Gordon Vayo mucked from the big blind.

Hand #75: Vayo moved all-in from the button and both blinds players folded.

Hand #76: On a {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop Tony Ruberto checked from the small blind and Kitai made it 80,000 to play only to see Ruberto check-raise to 325,000. Kitai called and the pot grew ever larger.

The turn card was the {q-Diamonds} and again Ruberto checked, putting the action on Kitai. A bet from Kitai of 380,000 was met with an all-in check-raise from Ruberto and Kitai looked genuinely pained in his decision making. He turned to face Ruberto before folding.

Ruberto is on a tear right now.

Hand #77: Ruberto folded on the button, Kitai completed the small bind and Vayo checked in the big blind meaning it was heads-up to the {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, Kitai bet 55,000 and Vayo folded.

Hand #78: Vayo moved all-in from the button and Ruberto called.

Ruberto showed {A-Spades}{K-Spades} while Vayo needed some help as he held the dominating {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The help arrived in the form of a chopped pot thanks to the board running out {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} giving both players a straight.

Hand #79: Vayo raised to 120,000 and both players in the blinds folded.

Hands #80-85: "Did You See My Hand?"

Nível 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #80: Davidi Kitai limped from the small blind, Gordon Vayo checked his option from the big, and the flop came down {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. Kitai bet 55,000, Vayo called, and the {9-Hearts} appeared on the turn. This time Kitai checked, and Vayo followed suit. The {5-Clubs} river saw Kitai bet, how much we're not sure, and Vayo called. Kitai tabled {10-}{4-} for a pair of tens, but it was no good as Vayo had queens with the {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Hand #81: Davidi Kitai limped the button, Gordon Vayo called from the small blind, and Tony Ruberto checked his option from the big, making it three-way action to the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop. Vayo checked, Ruberto bet 90,000, and only Kitai called. The {2-Clubs} turn saw Ruberto bet 195,000, Kitai called, and the {10-Spades} completed the board on the river. Ruberto bet again, this time a hefty 515,000, and Kitai called.

"I have eight high," Ruberto said. Kitai then tabled the {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a winning queen high.

"Did you see my hand?" Ruberto asked only half jokingly.

Hand #82: Gordon Vayo opened for 120,000 from the button and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #83: Davidi Kitai raised to 130,000 from the small blind and was met by a three-bet to 315,000 by Gordon Vayo in the big. Kitai released his hand.

In between the hand Ruberto asked the floorman if he could change seats as he's legitimatly convinced Kitai saw his cards in the hand he called with queen high.

Hand #84: Davidi Kitai raised the button to 115,000, Gordon Vayo called from the small blind, and Tony Ruberto folded from the big. The {4-Hearts}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts} flopsaw Vayo check and then fold when Kitai bet 85,000.

Hand #85: Davidi Kitai received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #86: Davidi Kitai raised to 130,000 from the small blind and then folded when Gordon Vayu three-bet all in from the big.

Ruberto was allowed to move to the other end of the table (without disrupting the positioning) after this hand.
