James Take a Big One

Nível 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

We walked up to a board of {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} and 1,250 in the middle. Kenna James had checked and his opponent bet 625. James made the call and the turn was the {4-Hearts}. James checked and his opponent bet the pot for 2,500. James raised to 6,000, enough to put his opponent all in and it was called.

James turned over {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for top pair and a flush draw. His opponent tabled {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and he was in bad shape, as only the {5-Hearts} or a non-heart nine could help. The river was the {6-Clubs} and James has a nice stack.

Jeremy Ausmus raised to 250 from early position and Nick Guagenti called from the button. The flop was {8-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Ausmus led for 350. Guagenti called and the turn was the {5-Clubs} and Ausmus checked. Guagenti bet 500 and Ausmus called.

The river was the {k-Hearts} and both players checked. Ausmus tabled {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} which was good, as Guagenti sent his cards to the muck.
