Hensley Semi-Bluffs it Off to Give Sowers Lead

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Steven Hensley
Steven Hensley

Steven Hensley has played aggressively all day but he just got caught for all his chips. On the turn of a board reading {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Hensley moved all in and was quickly called by Mike Sowers.

Hensley held {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Sowers turned over the {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The river was the {10-Clubs} and Hensley couldn’t hit one of his outs, so all of his chips went over to Sowers.

Hensley appeared to be fairly sanguine about it and as he left, he said he hoped Sowers used his chips to go on to win.

May The Schwartz Be With You

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Noah Schwartz had just remarked that he'd been hanging onto to a paltry 60k for the past three levels when Jason Wheeler made it 12,500 from the button.

Sitting in the small blind, Schwartz let fly for that 60k with {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Wheeler wasted little time making the call holding {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. It looked good for Schwartz until the {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop gave Wheeler a flush draw.

The {7-Clubs} turn completed it, and after the meaningless {7-Spades} turn, Shcwartz said his goodbyes.

More Chips for Wheeler

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Nicholas Immekus is not afraid to tangle with the big stack on the table, indeed the tournament, Jason Wheeler. On the turn of a board reading {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} Wheeler checked as did the cut-off and Immekus bet 13,500. Wheeler made the call and the other player folded.

The river was the {8-Clubs} and Wheeler checked again. Immekus checked behind and when Wheeler turned over {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} another player at the table said, “Chop.” I wasn’t though as Immekus mucked and Wheeler dragged another pot.

MacNeil Shown His Hand

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

It’s been a tough day for Christopher MacNeil and it doesn’t look like it’s getting any easier. He opened for 10,000 from first position and got a call from the big blind who then shoved on a flop of {2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}, MacNeil sighed and thought about it a while as it was a decision for his tournament life.

“Show if I fold?” he asked and his opponent said, “Sure.” MacNeil folded and his opponent, as good as his word, showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. MacNeil sighed once more and showed that he had folded {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Sometimes it’s just not your day, but MacNeil is hanging in there.

Herzali’s Shoving Stack

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Sarah Herzali is the last woman standing in this six-max event and she was just all in for her last 48k, just under 10 big blinds. “Count.” said Jesse Capps and made the fold. Ricky Butts was in the small blind and looked at his cards when it was on him.

It looked like a close all as Butts let out a long whistle, but he too let his hand go as did the big blind. Hersali survives for now looking for that double up.
