Gruissem Double Up

Philipp Gruissem opened with a raise to 110,000 preflop only to be three-bet by Stuart Tuvey to 275,000. Action folded back around to Gruissem who decided to four-bet all in and was snap called by Tuvey.

Tuvey: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}
Gruissem: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The flop spelled trouble for Tuvey when it came {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. The turn was no help to dig Tuvey out either, as it came {3-Hearts}. He would need to catch one of the two remaining aces in order to regain the lead. Unfortunately for Tuvey, fifth street brought the {9-Clubs} and his chipped were shipped to Gruissem in the form of a double up.

Tyler Trying

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Tyler Bonkowski
Tyler Bonkowski

After players returned from the break, Tyler Bonkowski set to work to try to recover some of those chips he'd just lost to Hilton Laborda.

Following a Pius Heinz raise, Bonkowski reraised all in for 280,000 and it folded back around to Heinz who made the call. Bonkowski had {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Heinz {K-Spades}{J-Spades}. The board came {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, and with two pair Bonkowski doubled through. Heinz still has about 6.5 million.

Bonkowski pushed all in on the next hand as well and got no takers, picking up the blinds and antes. He sits with about 650,000 at the moment.

Sick Fade For Shih

Kenny Shih
Kenny Shih

Kenny Shih raised to 95,000 in early position, and Ruben Visser three-bet shoved from the button. When it came back around to Shih, he quickly called off his last 520,000 total to put himself at risk.

Showdown
Shih: {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}
Visser: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}

The {3-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {8-Diamonds} flop was an awful sweat for Shih, and the turn {10-Hearts} did him no favors, either. Visser had nine outs to the diamond flush, three more jacks to make a straight, and three queens to make the winning pair. The river was a {7-Spades}, though, and Shih got to celebrate the fade and the double-up.

Howe Doubles Through Heinz

As Erika Moutinho raked in her chips after eliminating Mathew Salsberg, back over on the secondary feature table, Jody Howe had moved the last of his money in with {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}, ahead of Pius Heinz who had called with {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

Neither hand improved on the board of {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Howe doubled up to more than one million in chips. Heinz is now back down to around the six million-chip mark.

Sinopoli Sends Some to Pateychuk

Andrey Pateychuk
Andrey Pateychuk

Frank Sinopoli opened to 120,000 preflop and was called by Andrey Pateychuk from the button. The two men saw a flop of {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} fall. Sinopoli checked the flop and Pateychuk fired out 155,000. Sinopoli decided to put in a check-raise and made it 330,000 to go. Pateychuk made the call and the {7-Spades} hit the turn.

Both players checked fourth street and the {2-Clubs} came on the river. Sinopoli pushed out a bet of 650,000 and Pateychuk quickly made the call. Sinopoli flipped up {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for ace high which was far behind Pateychuk's flush with {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Pateychuk was able to drag in the pot which brings him to 5,500,000 in chips.

Cunningham Coolered, Eliminated

Allen Cunningham - Eliminated
Allen Cunningham - Eliminated

Marc-Andre Ladouceur opened to 105,000 from middle position, and Allen Cunningham moved all in for around 880,000 on his direct left. The action folded back to Ladouceur who snapped it off.

Ladouceur: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Cunningham: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Cunningham could do nothing but laugh at the sight of Ladouceur's aces. The {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop was as dry as the Nevada desert, and even though the turn and river were both paint, neither the {j-Hearts} nor the {q-Clubs} could save Cunningham. He received a very warm round of applause as he shook Ladouceur's hand and headed towards the exit.

Ladouceur is now back around average with 2.7 million chips.

Schwalich Swipes a Few from Collins

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Scott Schwalich
Scott Schwalich

It folded around to Phil Collins who raised to 120,000 from late position. Scott Schwalich checked his cards, then called from the button.

The blinds got out, and the flop came all diamonds -- {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Collins checked, and Schwalich took the opening to bet 175,000. Collins then raised to 410,000, which prompted an all-in shove from Schwalich for about 2 million total. Collins considered a bit, then let his hand go.

Collins still sits with a handsome 7.6 million-chip stack, while Schwalich chips up to around 3.1 million.

Kelly Slips

With the action now beginning to slow (gradually), hands at both the feature and secondary feature have been few and far between, but we did manage to catch some significant action between Konstantinos Mamaliadis and JP Kelly.

The action folded around to Mamaliadis who raised to 115,000 from the cutoff preflop, only to be called by Kelly from the big blind, making it head-up to the flop of {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Kelly checked and Mamaliadis bet 200,000, but Kelly then check-raised to 550,000 Mamaliadis called, but then shoved over the top of Kelly's bet of 725,000 on the turn of the {J-Clubs}. Kelly quickly mucked his hand.

Nível 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
John Esposito
John Esposito

Andrew Brokos opened with a raise to 100,000 from the cutoff and got one caller in John Esposito from the big blind. The flop came {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Esposito checked. Brokos continued with a bet of 125,000, then Esposito check-raised all in for 910,000 total.

Brokos tanked for some time, then pushed his cards dealerward. Esposito showed his cards -- {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} -- as he dragged the pot.

Esposito has about 1.15 million now, while Brokos slips to 1.88 million.
