TeamAPL's last hope, "Cobra" Khai Nguyen, has just been eliminated from the 2011 WSOP Main Event.
As their Team Co-ordinator Daniel Milford revealed, Nguyen had been grinding his very short stack since before the dinner break, but finally came in with a raise from early position before shoving it in after an opponent re-raised. The opponent snap-called.
Opponent:
Nguyen:
The board ran out and with either hand improving, Nguyen was sent to the rail, but he keeps TeamAPL's record of players cashing in the Main Event intact since its inception in 2009 - a stellar effort!

Daniel Skolovy opened with a raise to 16,000 from middle position, and it folded around to Daniel Negreanu in the big blind who reraised all in for 118,000 total.
Negreanu counted out his chips for Skolovy's benefit as the cameras gathered. "I got 118, bro," he said with a grin, then began to address the camera, saying something about Vancouver and referencing the riots that followed the recent conclusion of the NHL Game 7 final.
"If I lose this hand, I'm going to flip over this table," said Skolovy with a wide smile, and all laughed.
The conversation continued, with Negreanu spelling out the exact pot odds Skolovy had to call. Eventually he folded, and both players showed their hands -- for Skolovy,
for Negreanu. And no riot ensued, except for the laughing kind.
Negreanu goes to the break with 146,000, while Skolovy has 430,000.
![Sam Barnhart is atop the leaderboard.](https://s.pnimg.net/aeFxsh88awAAPtetS3osAKOcwKy-28jNJbUoKog-8_U/pr:reporting-leading-desktop/aHR0cHM6Ly9wbmlt/Zy5uZXQvbHJlcC8x/ODAzLzcyL3gzNWE4/NTQ2MTk1LmpwZw.webp)
Another level has passed and one thing we know for sure, there will be no repeat Main Event Champion this year. Robert Varkonyi was the last ME Champ standing but fell to a set of sixes when he paired his ace. Sam Barnhart and Daryl Jace continue to live at the top of the counts.
Joining Varkonyi on the rail this level were Jake Cody, Vanessa Rousso, Joe Serock, Shannon Shorr, Steve Gross, Dennis Philips, Warren Fund and Martin Hruby.
The field also keeps shrinking as tables are breaking quickly through the Orange section. The tournament clock reads 495 players remain. Two pay jumps have already been reached, each active player is now guaranteed $23,876.
Tournament supervisors have also taken the 500 chip out of play. Players only have 1,000 (yellow), 5,000 (orange) and 25,000 (green) are in play.
Only one more level is scheduled to play tonight. Then players will bag and tag their chips before returning for Day 5 tomorrow.
