Le Shoves

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

George McDonald opened to 1,200, Daniel Negreanu called, and Tommy Le called as well. The flop came down {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}. McDonald checked, Negreanu tossed out 2,200, and Le moved all in for around 15,000. McDonald quickly folded, and Negreanu shot Le a grind before folding as well.

Wrong Seat, Sir

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Our attention was just drawn over to a situation unfolding at the corner table, Orange 303. Darrell Roberts had won a pot in the four seat, but he had a bit of a problem on his hands. Peter Hotaling came up to the table and announced to Roberts that he was in his seat -- just as he was pulling in a pot of about 8,000 chips. The pink slips were double-checked, and indeed Roberts was in the wrong. His 308-4 looked an awful lot like 303-4, and neither he nor the dealer caught the mistake until it was too late.

It took a couple members of the floor staff and a long conversation to sort out the situation, and it was eventually big Bill Bruce who handled the matter directly. He put the entire pot into a rack, then he reconstructed Hotaling's starting stack by pulling 4,000 chips from the pot to bring him back to 34,650. The rest of the racked chips were handed over to Roberts, and he was sent on his way to the correct seat with his winnings.

That correct seat, incidentally, happens to be on the Main Featured Table with Daniel Negreanu.

Tran Starting Day Off Right

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Theo Tran opened for 1,250 in early position and action folded all the way around to WeiKai Chang in the big blind and he called. The flop came {J-Hearts} {5-Spades} {Q-Clubs}, Chang checked, Tran bet 1,550 and Chang called. The turn came {A-Diamonds} and Chang check-called 2,000 from Tran. The river came {9-Diamonds} and Chang again check-called 2,000 from Tran.

Tran tabled {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts} and Chang mucked. Tran bumped his stack up to 56,000.

Cada's Ace High Is Good

Joe Cada raised to 1,200 in the cutoff and was called by the player in the small blind.

The flop came down {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} and both checked, leading to the {3-Spades} turn. The small blind bet 2,500, quickly getting called by Cada. The {J-Clubs} hit the river and another bet came from the small blind, this time for 4,200. Cada called and was happy to see the small blind table {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Cada showed {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for ace high to win the pot.

O Hai, Nam Le!

We discovered Nam Le over on table 291 (listed in the official chip counts as a DNR*), who had just called a raise worth 1,200 from Asa Smith (UTG) before Matthew Allen also called from the small blind to go three-handed to the flop of {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

Allen checked and Smith bet 2,350, but that was enough to see Le and Allen throw their hands away.

Having only started the day with 26,825, Le's now down to less than 19,000 in chips.

First to enter the pot on the button, Rob Perelman raised to 1,175. The big blind three-bet to 2,600 before Perelman four-bet to 9,200. After a bit of a tank, the big blind decided to make the call.

The flop came down {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts} and the player in the big blind checked. Perelman, who had about 25,000 behind, bet 7,225. His opponent folded and Perelman picked up the pot.

Harrington Takes a Huge Blow

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Action began with Dan Harrington raising to 1,500 from the hi-jack. He found one caller from the player on the button.

Harrington c-bet for 2,000 on the {2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop and his opponent called.

When a {3-Diamonds} fell on the turn, Harrington checked and his opponent fired 4,500. The man known as "Action Dan" re-popped it to 12,000 and his opponent flatted.

Harrington led out for 15,000 when the {5-Hearts} completed the board. His opponent (who had Harrington covered) jammed all in and Harrington mucked.

Harrington is down to his last 11,000.

Paging Phillip Reed

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Phillip Reed of Washington, D.C. has not yet arrived at his table to begin Day 2a. He has a healthy stack, 110,225, that is currently being blinded off. If anyone knows him please give him a call so he doesn't get blinded off completely.

Moor Chips For Moorman

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Action began when a player in middle position opened to 1,150. Chris Moorman three-bet to 3,250 from the small blind and the original raiser made the call.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Moorman continued out with a bet of 3,500. Once again the middle position player made the call. The {3-Clubs} hit the turn and the action was checked by both players. The {J-Hearts} hit the river and Moorman made a pot sized bet. His opponent folded and Moorman took the pot down.
