Turn Bet Gets It Done for Dion

With about 3,500 in the pot and a flop of {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, a player in the cutoff checked to Yann Dion on the button, who checked behind. The cutoff checked one more time when the {2-Spades} appeared on the turn, prompting Dion to be 1,700. The bet proved enough to take down the pot and bring Dion back above the starting stack.

Ramage Control

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Grayson Ramage opened with a raise to 600 from middle position. It folded to the player in the cutoff who called, and Leo Wolpert called from the button as well. The blinds got out, and the three remaining players saw the flop come {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. All checked. The turn then brought the {A-Clubs} and a bet of 1,100 from Ramage. The player in the cutoff quickly raised to 2,500, forcing a fold from Wolpert. Ramage went into the tank.

After about a minute he emerged, having decided to fold, showing an {A-} as he did. Michael Winnet couldn't help but respond from across the table. "You fold an ace?!" he said incredulously. "There are two on board, that makes three aces! How can you do that?!?"

As Winnet continued, the winner said it was a good fold. "Good fold, my butt!" Winnett grinned. Meanwhile, Ramage sat with a stoic look, sitting behind a stack of 22,500 at present.

O'Brien Can't Raise Anyone Out

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Dan O'Brien raised to 650 preflop after one limper entered the pot. The button called, the big blind called and the original limper called.

The flop came {9-Spades} {3-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}, the big blind and limper checked, O'Brien bet out 1,250 and the button called. The big blind called and the original limper raised to 4,000. O'Brien folded and the button raised to 11,000. The big blind folded and the original limper called the 11,000.

The turn came {7-Spades}, the limper checked and the button bet 10,000. The limper check-raised all in and the button called.

Limper: {9-Spades} {8-Spades}
Button: {J-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}

The river came {7-Clubs} giving them each a full house and they chopped the pot.

Jett Reduced

Karina Jett

On a flop that read {10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}, the small blind, big blind and another player in middle position checked around to 2011 WSOP Ladies Event runner-up Karina Jett, who led out for 600. Only the small blind called and he then check-called Jett's bet of 1,100 after the turn of the {9-Spades} before both players checked the river {9-Clubs}.

"I got an ace," said the small blind player, rolling up {A-Spades}{6-Spades} for two pair. Jett tapped the table and mucked her hand.

The Main Event, 25 Years in a Row

Wendeen Eolis might be a name some people are unfamiliar with, but the New Yorker was the first ever woman to cash in the main event in 1986, some 25 years ago. Since then, she's played every year in the main event since then, with six cashes since then - the most recent being in a $1,500 back in 2009. She's here once more playing in the white section of Pavilion, hoping to improve on her best finish of 25th place in this event.

Buddiga Bumps Up His Stack

With over 16,000 in the pot already and the board reading {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} it seems we missed all the betting excitement as Praytush Buddiga and the player in the hijack both checked. Buddiga showed the {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair and the other player mucked his hand.

Buddiga was up to around 40,000 after the hand.

The Sharks Are Out

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

From middle position, Jordan Morgan opened the pot with a raise to 400. Team PokerStars Pro Humberto Brenes and his shark were on the button and raised to 1,200. It folded back to Morgan and he made the call.

The flop was {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Morgan checked. Brenes bet 2,000 which was enough to Morgan off his hand and put him back above starting stack with 30,500.

Skender Gets Baker

The action on table 285 folded around to Amanda Baker who raised to 475 from the hijack position before Michael Skender three-bet it to 1,125 from the cutoff. The others got out of the way and Baker called, then she checked after the dealer spread the flop of {10-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Skender opened for 1,200, but Baker then check-raised to 3,700. Skender thought about it for about 45 seconds but still elected to call, then he fired out 8,000 after Baker checked to him again after the turn of the {2-Hearts}. Baker laid her hand down.

Garrett Dines With Kings

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Brad Garrett
Brad Garrett

We just stopped by Brad Garrett's table to check on his chip stack, and we found him opening the pot to 600 as he and his table talked about the picture of Puggy Pearson over on the far side of the wall. "I think that's Bo Derek," Garrett said as he flicked the raise into the pot. "Looks like she's got a hot dog in her mouth."

Garrett found calls from Max Cohn (in position) and the big blind, and the three of them went off to a {9-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {4-Spades} flop. It checked around, and Garrett made a delayed continuation bet of 1,000 after the {6-Spades} turn. Cohn raised it up to 3,000, the big blind folded, and Garrett quickly called. "Naw, I don't think that's Puggy Pearson. I'm pretty sure it's Bo Derek."

The river was the {K-Hearts}, and Garrett checked. Cohn checked behind, and he gets a gold star for the day. Garrett rolled over {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} for quads! "Boy, I was hopin' you'd bet that," he stated the obvious. "You weren't calling a bet, though, right?"

Cohn didn't miss a beat, giving the rub right back to the comedian: "What? With the jackass hands you've been playing?!"

Garrett is doing well for himself so far, back up to about 39,600 with that pot.
