Tureniec Spinning His Wheels

Nível 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

The cutoff raised to 300 and both the button and Michael Tureniec in the big blind called. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and all three players decided to check. The turn brought the {j-Hearts} and Tureniec bet out 650. The cutoff then raised to 1,500 and the button folded while Tureniec called. The river was the {6-Hearts} and Tureniec checked the action to the cutoff who bet out 2,000. Tureniec then let his hand go and was left with exactly what he started the day with, 30,000.

Hall Chips Up

A player on the button opened for 300 and found one caller in Galen Hall from the big blind.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn brought a {2-Clubs} and Hall led out for 550. His opponent called. Hall didn't slow down on the {J-Spades} river, instead opting to fire a 675 bet. This time his opponent folded.

Hall is up to 32,000 in the early going.

Losing The Minimum With Jacks

Nível 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Mike Mautsow limped under the gun and was followed by two more limps. The small blind completed and the big blind checked her option.

With five players to the flop, it fell {8-Spades}{A-Clubs}{5-Spades} and action checked all of the way around the table. The {10-Diamonds} turned and the two players in the blinds checked. Matusow bet out 200 and received three calls, the only person option to fold being the big blind.

The river brought {K-Hearts} and action checked around the table once more.

"Jacks," Matusow announced, tabling {J-}{J-}. The player in the small blind flipped up {K-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a rivered two pair and was able to scoop the pot.

Dario Down Early

We haven't seen Team PokerStars Pro (Italy) Dario Minieri much at all this series, but he is here for the Main Event today on Day 1B and not doing so well at the start.

A player raised from early position to 250 and Dario in the big blind re-raised to 825. The player insta-called and the two saw the {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop. Both players checked and they saw the {10-Hearts} turn. Dario checked again and the early position player bet out 800. After a bit of thinking Dario check-raised it up and made it 2,450. The early position player didn't think long before putting in a call.

The river came the {8-Hearts} and both players checked. The early position player showed {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for top pair and Dario mucked. He is left with only 13,000 here, not even halfway through the first level of the day.
