Montgomery Destroys Pfutzenreuter with Rockets in 500K Pot

Action folded to Kyle Montgomery in the hijack seat, and he raised to 4,000. In the next seat was Dylan Honeyman, and he three-bet to 10,500 from the cutoff position. On the button, Timo Pfutzenreuter four-bet to 23,500, and then the blinds folded to put the action back on Montgomery. He wasted little time in five-betting to 49,000.

After Honeyman folded, action was back on Pfutzenreuter. The dealer pulled in Honeyman's bet after he folded and also the 23,500 from in front of Pfutzenreuter and Montgomery. Pfutzenreuter asked the dealer to put his bet back out there, and the dealer did so. Then, Pfutzenreuter pulled back his chips and six-bet to 81,000. Montgomery moved all in, seven-bet shoving for more than his opponent had, and Pfutzenreuter announced the call to put his entire 250,000-chip stack on the line.

"Aces versus kings," said the dealer, as Montgomery tabled the to be ahead of Pfutzenreuter's .

Immediately, Pfutzenreuter's hands clutched to his mouth and he had a look of "what just happened" written all over his face.

The exact details of the hand escaped us, but we do know a short-stacked Matt Rolfe got his stack all in preflop against both Tatjana Zizic and Dylan Hortin. The former ended up betting out the latter on either the flop or turn, but whatever the case Rolfe had to show down with Zizic.

Kurita Gets Called

The action started with Yu Kurita raising to 5,000 from under the gun and finding a call from Kyle Cheong in the cut off.

The flop came down and Kurita threw out a continuation bet of 5,000. Cheong called as the fell on the turn. Kurita didn’t slow down, betting out another 7,500 in chips. Cheong paused for a second before making the call as the completed the board.

Kurita quickly bet out 14,500 which sent Cheong into a deep tank. He agonised over his decision for several minutes before finally making the call.

Kurita then happily turned over her which was enough to take down the pot as Cheong tossed his cards into the muck.
