Portlen Busts Kawauti

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

On Table 31 next to our media desk, we noticed Bruno Kawauti all in out of the small blind for 4,400 in chips and initial raiser, Eugene Portlen, made the call with the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Kawauti needed some help with the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, but it wasn't meant to be as the board ran out {4-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

"I played one hand and got knocked out like that," said Tony Hachem, who was also at the table. He was referring to his cruel exit on the final table of the AU$1,650 No-Limit Hold'em Terminator event yesterday.

Wild Ride for Yan

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Until the turn of a {5-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} board, about 4,500 chips were in the middle and the opponent of [Removed:17] moved all in for 5,750 chips. "MissOracle" gave it some thought before eventually calling the shove with the superior stack. Yan held {K-Clubs} {10-Hearts} but didn't stand a chance against the {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} of his opponent, as the {9-Clubs} on the river was of no help.

November Niner Bruno Politano Crushing Early

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

World Series of Poker November Niner Bruno Politano has been crushing today, and he's moved up to a field-leading 34,000 in chips thanks to a recent bustout where he sent a player to the rail.

Politano had flopped a straight with the {6-Spades}{4-Spades} on the {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{4-Hearts} board and got his opponent to put all the money in on the river.

2014 WSOP November Nine Profile: Mark Newhouse

Nível 4 : 100/200, 0 ante
Mark Newhouse
Mark Newhouse

Back on July 14, the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event final table was set. The players in this year's "November Nine" are set to resume play on November 10, and it is a globally diverse group of young players who will be battling it out for the $10 million top prize.

In a recent Five Thoughts piece, Rich Ryan put the odds of Mark Newhouse making back-to-back WSOP Main Event final tables at 524,558-1. Last year, Newhouse made the November Nine, but bowed out in ninth place. This year, he plans to improve upon that finish, but he has already defied the odds and made poker history by becoming the first player since Dan Harrington to make back-to-back WSOP Main Event final tables (Ryan put Harrington's odds of doing so in 2003 and 2004 at 26,312-1).

Newhouse will enter the final table in November third in chips with 26 million.

The turn was the {10-Spades}, and the first player checked again. Shack-Harris bet 1,150 this time, and his opponent folded.
